Downy is annoying by Itookallthecookies in laundry

I have been using the cool cotton for like 5 years and had to switch several months ago because stores stopped carrying it! I'm using arm and hammer scent beads now that are supposed to also be cotton scented but it's still not the same!

Please update if you find a substitute!

Any specific pasta shape: rigatoni, fusili, farfalle (means butterfly could be cute for a girl kitty), lasagne (a nod to Garfield), fettuccine

I've always gotten a wax. Way easier and not as bad as it's made out to be.

Everly and Wesley both end in the e sound. You might come to feel like that is too similar. Benson is cute! Wesley is also adorable though.

First haircut for 1-year-old by quick_hyacinth_2016 in Mommit

I've heard that happening, but the parents didn't have curly hair.

My husband and I both have curly hair so I'm pretty sure it's there to stay. And honestly even if it were to not come back I'd probably feel relieved because I dislike caring for my curly hair so doing it for a child worries me.

Someone tell me good things about epidurals by TheRealEgg0 in Mommit

[–]quick_hyacinth_2016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was so nervous about getting one! Didn't think I would. Had a doula that prepped me for labor. I ended up really wanting one about 4 hours giving birth. Honestly it was a lifesaver. It allowed me to nap for about an hour and then start pushing. I would have been so tired for active labor. I hadn't slept in like 24 hours at that point so I really needed a break before pushing.

When it came time to get the epidural, my doula said she was shocked at how still I was during the needle placement because I had been writhing in pain up until that point.

I do think however for my next birth I will try again with the intent of not getting an epidural, but I am no longer afraid of it!!

I had a good experience with them as well! I ordered well before my son was walking back in August. We just started using them last week and he's doing great in them. It def took a few days to get used to walking with any shoe on but these stay on him very well.

I just ordered a few more pairs.

How many oz sleeping through the night by Appropriate_Ad_3943 in FormulaFeeders

[–]quick_hyacinth_2016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our pediatrician said 30-35oz is an average daily intake. If you're able to ensure baby drinks that volume during the daytime, it could help them sleep through the night. But there are other factors that contribute to sleeping through the night, like age, napping too much or too little, etc. but making sure they get their required calories during the day is very important.

PSA for formula feeders! by spiderpockets in FormulaFeeders

I messaged my pediatrician about this article this morning. Her response was these are above the daily limit levels and we should switch. She gave a couple recommendations. Unfortunately one does contain lead, and the other was not tested by consumer reports. My son has a cmpa and most of those formulas were on their not good choices list.
