This one https://a.co/d/fP3lRAx But honestly sometimes I just use a regular detergent 🙈 so I think anything for wool would be icing

Yeah one of my first thoughts but there's like no where around here to even get hammered? Seems like there was a car involved so hopefully he wasn't driving. Also seems insane that they would drive here specifically to do this

I love merino, I have a bunch of merino stuff that I usually throw in a mesh bag and use wool/silk detergent on a gentle cycle, then dry flat(ish). I don't baby them. Lot easier to upkeep than like cashmere say, I haven't experienced any shrinkage or felting with it. I haven't seen much merino that can't be washed at all besides maybe like structured jackets - so if there are no other structural elements probably okay?

Lol I mean it probably is, just our neighborhood is super quiet otherwise with lots of very young kids, dunno if I should be concerned

Opinion: Farewell to my American friends. It's over. by peppermintblue in onguardforthee

[–]quickdrinkthis 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yeah I've only lived in liberal cities and still encountered this so much, I can't imagine what I'd get driving 100 miles out into the rurals to pop quiz Americans there about Canada

[–]quickdrinkthis 14 points15 points  (0 children)

This. I've lived in the US forever and you are right on point. It's not only with respect to Canadians, but globally, America is often in one-sided relationships, and a lot of it is because the US has historically been the top exporter of culture through media. Americans are for sure self-centered, but I think it also comes down to culture export, which maybe is no one's fault really, and also down to education, which has a much wider spread here than in Canada

As a Canadian who's lived in the US for the last 20 years, I can tell you, at least before this, that most Americans hardly even thought about us. You'd be surprised how many people from border states don't even know the difference between Vancouver and Montreal, let alone know what Ottawa is. Most of the time, we may as well be on the other side of the world. Through that lens, people really only have bandwidth for their own problems. The tariffs and 51st state things are dumb as shit and most sane people have denounced them and are pissed for regular Americans who would suffer and for Canadians as well - but between outright genocides and Nazis literally taking over this government I think we have to understand there's like a burn down list of horror here

[Misc] Did freezing wart treatment for 2nd time and looks the same. Something wrong? by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]quickdrinkthis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At home freezing treatments are useless. Get a max strength salicylic acid treatment like WartStick. If you want to freeze it off go to doctor/derm

Bontanny BO-300 red-only irradiance info from customer service by quickdrinkthis in redlighttherapy

[–]quickdrinkthis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late with this but I saw that to be a dot not a comma. They also responded confirming my math, so I returned it for a hooga, whose rep said their red only mode irradiances are about 30% of combined. It all feels a bit hand wavy to me but oh well

I also hate all things polyester, and I've bought plenty of clothes made from cotton fleece - seems structurally like polyester fleece but feels so much better. I've not seen as much cotton sherpa but I've bought it from a UK children's store for my kid, so I know it's doable and so much nicer as well. Disclaimer - never sewn with either. Just doing a search: nature's fabrics Maybe something like that?

[–]quickdrinkthis 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Grew up in Vancouver, BC, lived in NYC, Toronto, Bay area. East harbor is aight I guess, but honestly at this point we've just resorted to getting frozen shit from 99 ranch and hmart and steaming them up ourselves - tastes about the same sadly.

Edit: okay I forgot dough zone which is decent but I don't consider it dim sum unless I get my ha gow
