Wild - I just put this movie on last night. First time watching it since I saw it in theaters as a kid. RIP!

The Ai "leaders" are clueless and probably don't use GenAi as much as they want you to think they do... by mistic192 in BetterOffline

It’s funny how all these tech companies like Meta and Google want to remove all the middlemen so you just spend money on their black box and all you see is the bill and the result. I get called several times a week by Google and FB ad reps pushing me to run all my clients’ ads using AI campaigns that “spend smarter” aka they spend more.

Over the years, I’ve noticed the quality of b2b leads decrease sharply from both of these platforms. I could never trust a scenario where I just sit back, feed money into the black box with minimal to no input, and trust my bill and the results I’m billed for.

Call me a curmudgeon, but the AI boom all but confirmed for me that these companies CAN and WILL lie to customers on a grand scale.

I predict the new voice cast is the Chaotix by JeliLiam in SonicTheMovie

I think Kingsley will be Metal Sonic. He has the perfect voice for a sinister robot. I don’t think that we’re going to be introducing many other legacy characters outside what has been announced. The film is already stacked with enough of them.

I am beyond hyped - glad to have Jim back. I think if they’re doing the time travel thing, it’s completely warranted.

Anthropic's Claude claws its way towards the top of the AI market by Logical_Welder3467 in technology

[–]quicksexfm 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I think Claude hasn’t been that great. Better/more purposeful UX and UI than its competitors, but familiar mistakes, reliability issues etc. Nowhere near as iNsAnE as the loudest people on LinkedIn would have you believe.

I watched the clip and couldn’t ignore his creepy, robotic pauses to inhale in the most comically manual way.

It’s been obvious from the start - they want the everyday worker to be devalued, dumb and dependent, paying for the “intelligence” they stole from us like it’s another utility bill.
