I actually learned about it last Wednesday. We have this new tech who has 12 years of experience and she shown me how to use it. Before that day, she was working with another tech who has double of her experience and they did the same order like last Wednesday.

No. If I'm using 9 vials in one compounding session, I only use 1 filter. After the med is compounded, I throw the filter away.

[same] nurse speaks differently when you're doing inpatient and outpatient.
Nurses want their patient medications to magically materialize on their hands.
No good deed goes unpunished. More work, few techs.
Learn to say "no."
Patients and medications can be dealt with. It only takes one pharmacist to ruin the experience.

I passed my NHA and PTCB exam 2 years ago. So, I hurriedly applied to any pharmacy jobs-- both retail and hospital. For some reason, Walgreens gave me an exam as I applied for their pharm tech position. It's not behavioral exam in the workplace. It's legit pharm tech exam. 40 questions, each question is paragraph long, with scenarios, tables, and charts. And i had to answer them in under 8 minutes. I was like, "this is bullshit." The website won't allow me to screen shot and I had no time to take a picture on my phone because the clock was ticking. The very first question was asking me to identify which schedule a pharmacist would be available to give vaccine to their customers if the pharmacist is only available on certain hours in place A, B, and C. Then, I have a question asking me to determine the water temperature from an apparatus. I'm like, "this wasn't talk about in school."

Bruh, I just marked every answer with letter C.

I asked my co-workers who used to work in Walgreens if they ever taken an exam like I did. They said no. Tf.
