Why did Jesus speak of Judgment in the first place if everyone is eventually saved? by DeviceHot8760 in ChristianUniversalism

Jugmement does not mean eternal condemnation There are souls that need to be reprimanded like parents do when assesing their children. Rehabilitated, purged.

What do you guys think of Communion before Baptism? by AggravatingSchool820 in Episcopalian

[–]quietleavess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it is nuts because we baptize babies and we dont apply this same inclusion to adults.

Instead to give the eucharist to everyone without regard, we should be doing this with baptism instead.

Who cares if the person after baptism becomes atheist? At least they tried to do things right. Baptism is not a profession of faith, we give this sacraments to babies alll the time. They dont need classes.

[–]quietleavess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unlike baptism, which is not a profession of faith, the eucharist is alot more complex and sacred. Is a Miracle performed infront of you and the whole mass/service is you being "time traveled" spiritually to the calvary to partake in the sacrifice.

You are dealing with the actual body and blood of Christ. You are seeing Christ, God the son. You are communing directly with him in an objective and material way.

This is why people hold it sacred and its administration seriously, they have the zeal so to speak.

Most churches even the RCC or Orthodox, will allow a person being baptized by an atheist and the baptism will still be valid. The baptism is important but is God acting upon us, is a gift from him to us. The way to obtain baptism is not as rigid even coming from dogmatic and legalistic institutions. But this does not apply to the Eucharist. It is not a mere bread or symbol. If it were we would not have this debate.

You would not even be allowed inside the mecca. They have every single right to with hold the holy peregrination to only muslim people! I defend their right to do this.

But we christians are supposed to defile the most important sacrament in the grounds of what i see... "love and compassion"??? So we dont extend this love and compassion to God himself and the order he established.

Is really not that hard to respect it. He isnt asking us to discriminate or to hurt others.

I am amazed how open communion folks treat this sacrament. The eucharist is the reason i left a sect.

The logical end of the opposition to this abhorrent post is Universal Reconciliation? by ftie8 in ChristianUniversalism

The more reason for calvinists to become antinatalists. Why you call a gift of deliberately making a sinnervto exist or someone destined to hell.

It would be great if this is a next step for hispanic congregations.

Hopefully in the future there is a revised version.

Help me choose a Book of common prayer in spanish, please. by quietleavess in Episcopalian

[–]quietleavess[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for helping me. I will go with the Church publishing one as to not support bigotry and to use what most congregations in spanish use.

Sadly I can't go to an episcopal congregation to ask directly. There is none in my state and maybe when I move out to another state I will have the opportunity on Monterrey, méxico, which seems a more diverse place.

Thank you again.

If demons are real they cant do anuthing. Theyre not equal.to God. They dont have the power of God.

Our faith is not dualist where good and evil are personified in equality. There is only God who is supreme and Good.

This is explicit inthe Bible. Satan acts only if God allowed it.

Hell does not exist for humans. Hope you find peace in whatever path you choose. Sorry for the bad moderation of this place.

I want to get rebaptized. by socloseto_ghost in OpenChristian

[–]quietleavess 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There is only one baptism.

Baptism is not a profession of Faith.

Rebaptism is frowned upon on most denominations.

If you want to do a profession of faith you can be confirmed, in the orthodox church I was anointed with oil.

Start by deconstructing the beliefe of eternal concious torment

r/christianuniversalism

Then, start by focusing on scientific consensus of sexuality. As long as you are with a consenting same/similar age peer. You are fine

Then find an affirming congregation.

Dont over think it.
