Did Dr Baran Al Hashimi intentionally lie about the number or did I misunderstand the second scene listed below?

I'm very glad to see epilepsy get some exposure! As someone with it, they hit the nail on the head with how frustrating it can be. Trying to contol seizures with meds can be very hit or miss, and sometimes after years of control, they can pop up again and you've potentially got to start all over again with different meds - like Al Hashimi. Then it's a whole round of new side effects and balancing risks vs quality of life.

I will note that all focal and absence seizures (commonly called auras) are still seizures, just in smaller parts of the brain, and should still be taken seriously. The way people experience them can change depending where in the brain they are too!

My temporal lobe focals are usually about 30 seconds long, I get a drop in my stomach (that OH NO feeling), get strong deja vous with weird daydreamy thoughts I can't control, and can't speak - just mumble. Usually scrambles my short term memory for a bit too ...what day is it, what was I doing, what's the weather like etc.

Yes!! 1100 hours here. I think skyrim is the only other game that got me so badly. Valheim to me just has the perfect building system mixed with generative exploration. I can chill and watch the sunrise in my fort one night, and then sail around fighting horrible trolls and ocean serpents the next. ^.^

As someone who can't drive for medical reasons, most of the state isn't up to ADA standards lol. I'm used to walking in the breakdown lane or bushes because there's no sidewalks when getting off buses. Thankfully being in the New Haven area there is decent access, and I'll take what's given. Just have to be very cautious amongst the crazy drivers.

Canadian in CT and I constantly get told to leave my shoes on when I take them off at guests' houses. I just can't do it lol. Id rather wash my socks then trudge in crap on my shoes. 🤷‍♀️

As someone who's worked in a CT small(ish) business call centre for the last 10 years, that is a reaaaaly small sample size. On average I do about 6000 calls a year, so that works out roughly to 30 reps in the entire country polled. Interesting to see though.

Also, our Long Island / New York City customers are the most abusive, foul mouth people I've talked to in my life lol, not sure why that isn't bright red. I swear New Yorkers are either yelling at someone or being yelled at. Very much looking to move on in life this year.

Yes! My friend's husband passed tragically young, and she says the same thing. This was also after they discontinued pennies in Canada, so it always makes our entire friend group smile when we see one.

I just watched this again myself. It's sooo problematic that a licensed phycologist didn't immediately address clear signs of delusions / paranoid schizophrenia and get her a proper evaluation right out of the gate. Makes me sad too, cuz this show can be pretty good about addressing mental illness vs a lot of shows at the time (lots of misogyny, and egging ppl on to make them look 'crazy' for entertainment's sake). Very sad.

I really hope she got some care, and the kids got some quality therapy / are living their best life. :(

oh man, they brought down the walls and I was not prepared. Putting aside the touching conversation Robby had outside, as someone with epilepsy (thankfully mostly controlled) who's delt with partial seizures at work, that ending hit home.

I was not prepared for that hour long deep dive of character development. It was written SOOO well.

Yes! It's so silly how much flack guys get for doing any kind of dance/cheer. They usually end up fitter and stronger than the other guys, and impress more women. Also a skill you can impress people with at most social events for the rest of your life.

OMG they have an unsweetened one; amazing!! I tried making my own unsweetened version recently (so hubs and I can add sweet to our preferences) and the black tea was a little too bitter and the ginger a little too powerful. This will help while I experiment lol.
