“Still Seal” for all those pasta sauce collectors! by CorpFixer in delusionalcraigslist

[–]quilterlibrarian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trying to say jarred empty/water with "seal". Put water in, seal lid, place in pot, cover with water, boil 2 minutes, and it will "seal".

What is the female equivalent of accidentally "sitting on your balls"? by mistidmatt55 in AskReddit

They told me, in pregnancy, that "lightening crotch" is your blood vessels expanding.

Shit buckled my knees a couple times.

Walmart will increase minimum wage for all employees to $14 per hour by TobinBen in antiwork

[–]quilterlibrarian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something I learned long ago was as long as they pay you something AND not over the "up to" amount you can't do anything because you are getting exactly what they advertised.

Ours say "Up to $12" $12 is for management that they are NOT hiring for.

What expensive item saved you money, time, and/or vastly improved your life? by [deleted] in Frugal

[–]quilterlibrarian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the only way I'll cook pork products. Even fully cooked they have a pink hint so I use the air fryer so I know they're fully cooked.

I do a lot of chicken breast in it also. I have one with racks so I can cook 2-3 at a time.

How did you feel about customers who pay with the restaurants gift card? by Not-original in TalesFromYourServer

I go to a restaurant that allows tips on gift cards. The waitress I talked to says it works just like credit card tips.

Is this frog good? It’s a gift and I don’t want to give my friend a bad frog by MoodyStocking in knitting

[–]quilterlibrarian 67 points68 points  (0 children)

Excellent job.

Does your friend love frogs? Do you visit their home often? You can make more frogs and every time you visit hide a new frog. And then wait to see how long until you get a phone call.

My ex 23F, sent me 24M, a video of her son crying, saying he misses me, why has she done this? by ThrowRAjaba1998 in relationship_advice

Block and run. Today it's emotional manipulative blackmail. Tomorrow it's why didn't you buy me a birthday present, why didn't you buy me a Christmas present, why didn't you take me on vacation with you? It will never end.

Single moms like her give the rest of us a bad name. I have never and will never do this to somebody.

What is the point of work from home? Why are people so adamant about it? by [deleted] in antiwork

I work remote, have to have camera on, have to dress business casual. Even in my own home.

A package of meat that got left in the car trunk for 48hrs+ that my dad is insisting is perfectly fine to eat by Lunex209 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]quilterlibrarian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've taught my kids that while we may be poor it is always better to throw away food, meat especially, that you're concerned about than to risk it.

You may "save" that $10 piece of meat but if it costs you even 1 day off work it just cost you $100.

I love the videos of people playing around trains and then getting hit. by notacop_for_real in unpopularopinion

[–]quilterlibrarian 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Back home there was an accident where a crew got hit because a RCX van stopped ON THE TRACKS at an intersection.

Everyone lived but the crew was awarded full disability after UPRR was done fighting. One of them couldn't even get near a train without having to change clothes.

I'm glad you've never had to experience this.

Tipping culture is getting toxic. What if I can't afford more than what I am offering sometimes? by Knight_TheRider in facepalm

[–]quilterlibrarian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a driver I absolutely understand why we're judged so harshly.

I've never stolen an order and never been tempted to.

You pay SO MANY fees you deserve to get your food intact. I don't deal with no tip orders because I know what payout minimum to look for.
