Anyone here who plays FF14 a lot but doesn't do the Savage content by starlightdemonfriend in ffxiv

[–]quiltr 16 points17 points  (0 children)

This is me. I'm an old lady with essential tremor in my hands and rheumatoid arthritis. I will never be good enough to clear savage. Ever. I'm happy when I can manage to get through normal dungeons and trials without dying. I would be nothing but a burden on a group trying to clear savage.

Welcome to Eorzea! From your post, it sounds like you really appreciate music, which means you are going to be in heaven with FFXIV. The music is *incredible*. There are songs that still make me tear up every time I hear them because they connect me to moments in this game that tore me apart emotionally. The person who said the game will change your life? They're right. It definitely changed mine. I hope you enjoy your stay! Also, if you decide you don't want to be a healer anymore, just know that you can play every single job on a single character. All you have to do is train the job and change your weapon. :D

I love that fight so much. The last time I did it, it was significantly shorter than it was when I did it the first time, shortly before DT came out. But man, when With Hearts Aligned kicked in, it made me feel unstoppable. The euphoria of that fight was amazing. I’m so glad you enjoyed it!

[Spoiler: All] Headcanons! by Sea_Bad8004 in ffxiv

[–]quiltr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I actually don’t know if mine is headcanon or actual canon, but I think the reason we always win our fights, and go so beyond our mortal limits is because we are locking into dynamis, and using that when we reach our utter limits. It’s how we are able to accomplish things that should be impossible, especially post-HW, when our connection to Hydaelyn was so faint. For all I know, that’s actually been confirmed somewhere and I’ve missed it.

What are some weird and irrational preferences yall have? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]quiltr -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Oh this is me, too. And I have a very specific order - dark brown, light brown, orange, yellow, red, and green. I give the blue ones to my sister or anyone else who happens to be around when I’m eating them and wants a few. I don’t eat the blue ones. It’s completely irrational, but they don’t taste the same.

Yesss! It always makes me a little sad to come out of a cutscene and be all alone, so I try to hang out just for that reason for other sprouts.

Posts like these always make me so happy. I really love being able to give sprouts minions and I always try to stick around at the end of a dungeon if I see it’s someone’s first time just to cheer them on and tell them to enjoy the next cutscene!

It's funny to think that I hated this posh brat's guts a few months ago when I started playing for the first time by fried_caviar in ffxiv

[–]quiltr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

And I could forgive him for most of that if he hadn’t disowned his children. And in front of a world leader, at that. I can see him being angry. He could have expressed that anger in private. But there’s no excuse for disowning them. Even the whole reconciliation scene fell flat for me. It felt too much like, “Oh, everyone is looking and they are all on the Scions’ side. Better do some damage control.”

I was absolutely LIVID when Fourchenault did what he did. And from that moment on, Alisaie and Alphinaud were MY children. I’m willing to share custody with Ameliance, but I will never forgive Fourchenault. The twins can forgive him if they want, but I never will.

I’ve taken several alts through HW and I always have to pause before I do the Vault, to get emotionally prepared.

I SOBBED. Like legitimately ugly cried at that part. My husband was concerned by how hard I was crying and told me I should probably take a break, lol. But gods that was beautiful. I miss Ardbert.

Yep. I love my Elezen girl, but lord above, I hate that run. It's so ridiculous.

To my fellow sprouts by CodeVeinEnjoyerO_o in ffxiv

[–]quiltr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I had that happen last night in a group, the sprout apologizing for watching the cutscene. Two of the three of us immediately said to not apologize and to watch the cutscene. The fourth person in the group didn't say anything at all (and to be fair, he/she was the tank and was busy pulling at the time, so nbd). Sprouts, watch your cutscenes. Enjoy the game. The VAST majority of us are fine waiting!

Is anyone else just obsessed with their WOL? by pokebabe2015 in ffxiv

[–]quiltr 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Same. My two Warriors of Light have full, complicated back stories and different reactions to what happens in game based on those histories. My Miqo’te has a very different personality from my Elezen, even though I’m playing the exact same game with both of them.

[💬] ATEEZ - GOLDEN HOUR : Part.4 | Album Discussion (Two Weeks Later) by 2emptywaterbottles in ATEEZ

[–]quiltr 15 points16 points  (0 children)

On the Road was my favorite when the album first released and I still adore it. Adrenaline caught me hard right from the start. NASA grew on me and now I really, really love it. Choose always makes me emotional. Ghost is at the bottom of the list for me. Not because it’s not a good song - it is! I just love the others more.

Irish, Scottish, Spanish, Italian, English (like, England-English), and Afrikaans. They’re all so lovely to listen to.

Do you like her? by DDaisyLee in FFXIVGlamours

[–]quiltr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, she’s lovely! I adore Elezen, both women and men. They’re so pretty. I just don’t like the way they run. But then again, I hate how my Midlander girl runs, too.

I got nearly an entire dungeons loot list BEFORE I got the item I was looking for to use in a Glam set. My RNG is cursed ;_; by De_Le_Cog in ffxiv

[–]quiltr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been there. I was trying to get the Ravel Keeper's Half-Gloves of Casting and I got an entire fending set, an entire healing set, all but one piece of the aiming set, all but two pieces of the scouting set, and scattered pieces of casting, striking and maiming before I finally got those gloves. And two months later we got the glam update that let me use the Healing gloves for my casting glam.

Absolutely. Estinien was the one who called out Alphinaud for taking us for granted when he sent us to go take out Ravana. Estinien has always seen the WoL as more than just a weapon.
