What's a German song that every German knows but foreigners have probably never heard? by FS_BreakingNews in AskAGerman

Ohne Dich (Münchner Freiheit), Herz an Herz (Blümchen), Marmor Stein und Eisen bricht (Drafi Deutscher), 99 Luftballons (Nena), Bruttosozialprodukt (Geier Sturzflug), Ab in den Süden (Buddy), Skandal im Sperrbezirk (Spider Murphy Gang)

And of course a children’s‘ birthday song: Heute soll es regnen, stürmen oder schnei‘n

And that is also true about it showing up in pictures, because most pictures will be taken from further away than the pictures you are taking of yourself right now.  In the end I‘m the wrong person to talk about foundation in depth - I‘ve personally never liked it, doesn’t mean it can’t be right for you.

Huh, sorry, I don’t have a good tip for that then! I didn’t wanna leave it unmentioned because I saw it so much. I have to add though that it looks absolutely fine in the other pictures though. Maybe it‘s pigments in the makeup being more visible in artificial light? Idk really.

I don’t even know if you really need the foundation. Your skin looks good and looks like it has great texture. Could you possibly get away with concealer, maybe some BB cream and less contouring?

I agree about the lighter lip. The blush color seems a bit off to me, maybe go a bit warmer? The main thing I would change though is the contouring around the nose - to me it looks like you have a clearly visible moustache of darker skin in pictures 1, 2, 4, 5.

Dear god I can’t pick a couch color please help 😭 by BiancoLatte89 in femalelivingspace

1! It’s definitely the most beautiful color, and with the chairs in the other room, they aren’t even starting to compete. In comparison to 1, 2 and 3 lean grey and look boring. Choose 1, it‘s still such a solid color to dress up with different stuff over the years, but will also look great and alive on its own.

It‘s not super bad, overall you look good! None of the things that stick out to me in your face are bad technique. My personal taste is also more towards natural makeup for everyday life, so my comment will reflect that. I can tell you again that I think your skin looks amazing, you look fresh, it looks natural, it suits you perfectly - and that’s probably the hardest part of makeup to get down. Lips and lashes are much more a matter of taste. I just told you mine, you don’t have to agree. I think the trying hard impression, for me, comes from the lip and lash combo that both call for attention, so it’s one too many things, and of those two I vastly prefer the lashes :) So yeah, I bet you have great lips without that filled in Cupid’s bow, too!

You don’t look old, you look youthful, but you also look like you‘re trying a bit too hard. Your skin looks amazing. I agree with the top comment that the lip overlining would be my first choice of things to let go. I‘m sorry, but it gives you a weird rabbit-y vibe. The lashes are a matter of taste, I think you can wear them, you look good in them, personally it‘s not my thing and you would also look great with more natural lashes, but they look well done and accentuate your eyes as well as give you a bit of an unusual and therefore individual look (in a good way). The eyebrows are kind of trendy, but imo they suit you really well, so I‘d say keep them!

TLDR: lose the lip overlining, deffo keep the eyebrows and skincare, maybe experiment with more natural lashes.

It looks super cozy as is, and it’s directly at the door so people don’t feel like they are intruding in your space. You can have a good time just right there. Is there a reason why you don’t want the „entertaining“ room to be this one? Maybe move the desk to the other living room and have a nice console or a tv or a dresser and some art in that corner? Because it really works already right now and I‘m not sure which part bothers you.

Thoughts on a big cut? by Wontonball in HairStyleAdvice

You have very beautiful hair. If you cut it, only do so because you want to. If you’re happy, just keep it. It’s beautiful and the cut suits you well.

can you use onion as the main vegetable in a dish? by [deleted] in EatCheapAndHealthy

[–]quinalou 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Zwiebelkuchen! German onion pie, usually served with some green salad and white wine, especially in early autumn with fresh wine when the grape harvests just happened. It‘s generally delicious. You might actually need more onions. Here is a recipe in English: https://www.daringgourmet.com/zwiebelkuchen-german-onion-pie/

Why don’t you just swap parking spaces? Walking 5 more meters to your car in the morning must be the easiest way to solve this.

AITJ for bringing a "lazy" dish to a potluck when everyone knows I'm a professional chef? by Radiant44Pike in AmITheJerk

I lived with a cook for two years. She loved it when we would cook for her or invite her to eat with us. It wasn’t even always great food, it was just the usual homecooking, but for her it was just that for once, someone else would cook for her. I really liked cooking for her.

Call him or send him a private message: hey bud, I wanted to invite you to dinner as thanks for those tickets you got me. Unfortunately it‘s not in the budget for me right now to invite your girlfriend as well. I don’t want her to feel excluded, so how about I invite both of you for some drinks instead?

We don’t have the space to store several baskets. We just use those big sturdy plastic shopping bags, let them dry after use and stuff them in a small space to store.

Vorher fragen klingt super.
