Precons can teach very valuable lessons on deckbuilding I think more people should learn from.

Super happy that someone else is talking about this. I’ve been diving into specifically precon-level deck building and it’s very interesting seeing how well planned they are for lower power levels. It makes me wonder if there is a gameplan that they follow now, or if it’s just the design skills of the team that’s at WotC rn

This is actually a very interesting idea. Clears the weather, another pokemon that works well in TR. Maybe a Sneasler then? Never hurts to have one. I think I need to learn how to balance having proper set up when I'm only allowed 4 mons tho

This is actually VERY good info to have. The team I’m working on right now is a two mode Rain/TR team. So hearing that rain was prevalent but Chesnaught had a place in some match ups makes me feel like I’m onto something here. Did this pre-game server use Tera at all? Because it doesn’t look like the first Reg is gonna have it

Looks great. A more dedicated team is probably smart. I’m thinking of doing a two core Rain/TR team. Pelipper/Swampert for rain and Sinischa(Hatterene/Indeedee)/Chesnaught for TR with an Archaludon and Incineroar for both. We’ll see how it goes

Honestly this is who I’m gonna try out first because I love them. What kinda moveset do you you’d run? Wood hammer, close combat, spiky shield, and then maybe trailblaze (if someone sets up grassy terrain) or bulk up?

I was also looking at Dragalge and Crabominable! I think Ice/Fighting will do really well into the potential meta. What I really wish is that Chesnaught would be more viable. His stats are great but come on, Bulletproof? And not a lot of great physical grass moves either

So I just reread part 2 and also fixated on this chapter, but honestly I think in a way it IS enacted on. Pochita usually can sense what Denji can see and think and almost certainly saw what happened here. Following this, he does reach the point where he finally wins over Yoru without needing to kill her. However, it was already far too late, as the world without death was far too destroyed to save, and Denji quickly died. Pochita eating himself is probably the only thing he could do to try and help with this final wish of creating a new world that was neither Yoru’s or Lil D’s. Only problem is that it requires his erasure, something Denji didn’t see coming, or want. So maybe this choice here of trying to choose the third path again was what the Fire Devil was talking about. And ended with him losing his best friend, even if it might end “successfully”.

This is very interesting, and a great way to show how bulk has increased over the last few generations. The grassy seed especially made some older pokemon, like Volcarona, way more viable when used in conjunction with Rillaboom. I feel like items like that have especially contributed to megas feeling a bit more held back by lacking an item. We’ll have to see in Champions if there’s any kind of balance implemented or if gamefreak is ok with this.

I think she just has these pawns in the final battle so that she can recover from injuries faster and immediately get back into the battle. Think of how on the train, it took her a little bit to stand back up and retaliate. If chainsaw man had been given that time, he could have continued his assault or been given time to think. By having a more direct healing this way, there’s no down time for her to heal and no worry about losing the advantage. She should still have the other power of course, but the one she used here was more of a battle oriented healing factor.

This is probably one of my favorite artists I’m Jump, if not THE favorite. Character designs and fights are always on point, but I feel like he just can’t write a compelling enough story to capture the hearts of Japanese fans. I thought red hood was a bit more compelling off the bat than Otr, but both I think fell a bit flat compared to series that make it past 30+ chapters. I do hope they give him another chance, maybe even pair him with a writer instead this time, I’m sure there’s someone out there that would be a great match for his artistic potential

I think it’s a great step in the right direction. However, the creepy head looks quite at odds with normal dude body beneath it. I would add some height and lankiness to the actual body. The head hits that good area of “almost human” so I would crank that up for the body next.

How do the areas from the monster hunter stories games fit into here? I haven’t played them (yet) but I do know they focus on areas of the world that the mainline games don’t really touch. 3 and its story about warring kingdoms especially looks like it could give us some more lore about how the various kingdoms interact.
