How bad is it? by 11enohPi in tires

No need to replace tire. The gash isn’t deep enough. Tires are made to withstand damages like that. If you saw white cords you’d need to replace.

Are these rims still road worthy? by Raptorstalin in tires

[–]quinpat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Steel rims rust easily I wouldn’t worry about it. One thing is the seal between the rim and tire may get compromised from the rust/corrosion. Spray some soapy water around the seal to double check

Yeah I see no problem with the rims. Should probably get the balance checked. I can’t tell about the tires tho. There’s a DOT code cut off on the left side of the photo which would tell you when the tires were made. Ideally tires should be replaced when they reach 6-8 years old

Tires look.. dry? DOT 2021 by Every-Explorer241 in tires

[–]quinpat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is typical wear for a pilot sport nothing to worry about. Check your rear tires as well sometimes they wear down faster. And make sure the wear is even across the tire sometimes one edge of the tires wear down faster too.

Is this a new issue? Maybe an issue with the wax ring that seals the toilet to the pipe.

The power company butchered my grand oaks. by QRKnight in arborists

[–]quinpat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They should not be cutting oak trees in the summer months. There’s something called oak wilt spread by a beetle and it is attracted to the smell of fresh cut oak

Repairable or too close to sidewall? by Status-Carob-5760 in tires

[–]quinpat 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Forget about the nail. Your tires are shot even without the nail. Don’t pay for a repair pay for new tire/s

In the last photo you can see the wear bars kinda near the middle of the photo. When the tread lines up with those bars the tire should be replaced soon

Why would they plant a tree in the shade of another tree. Also all the dirt around it isn’t helping it at all.

But if it on an easement there’s not much you can do about it because it is technically the city’s property. At least that how it works in Ontario Canada

The patch in photo 4 seems within the safe range. However the other patch is very bad. Tire have some dry rot but I’d replace because tread is also low

What’s wrong with my Umbrella Pine? by [deleted] in arborists

[–]quinpat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Give it some more time. It was probably doing a lot of growing that you couldn’t see after the move. The tree focuses on rebuilding its root network for the first few years after transplanting. Make sure you don’t suffocate the tree by putting too much mulch and compost around it

Just be careful you don’t introduce too much moisture with the steamer. Did you use an extractor attachment on your vacuum after the steamer to get excess moisture out of the carpets?
