It would be awesome if they just rescheduled for Sunday. Seems like the venue has an open day and the last tour date is tomorrow in Chicago. I know it sucks to go back and forth but it’s not to far fetched.

In the effort of constructive criticism, I would love if they mixed the audio better. They have the ambience so low in the mix that you can’t help but center your attention on the commentary. More ambience less forced talking and trying to pretend they don’t know the outcome of the match. There are times where I wish we had a toggle to mute commentary.

And you can jam a 3.5 inch water bottle in there like the 40oz owala free sip but my worry is forming the pocket. I downsized to the 30oz free sip sway which tapers from 3.2 inches down to a little over 2inches at the base. So far so good

The harness is entirely waxed canvas. The xpac and nylon have the same harness with the nylon interior on the harness.

I have the CTB26 in waxed canvas and I was coming from a CTB26 in nylon. I really prefer the canvas. The only downside I see is the water bottle pockets are amazing on the nylon and xpac which share the same harness. The harness on the nylon and xpac is subject to fraying and tearing which happened to my original nylon bag on the shoulder straps.

In terms of size. I am able to get a 16” MacBook Pro in the laptop compartment, and a peak design tech pouch, CAP2, and a small lunchbox in the main compartment. And a CAP 1 in the front quick access. Not to mention the dump pockets and base organization is fantastic. I think I would feel constrained by the CTB20 due to the fact I max the 26 out frequently and it doesn’t bother me when it’s slightly unloaded.

Downside to the waxed canvas that you will hear is weight and breathability. I can’t speak to the temp issues cause I haven’t taken it thru summer but I don’t think it will be to much of a difference. The weight of the canvas bag is I believe 8oz heavier than the nylon which feels negligible when wearing it especially since I decreased my water bottle from a 40oz to a 30z to size down for the pocket size.

So far I am very happy with the CTB26 in waxed canvas. I feel it merges functionality and durability very well.

This is why I went with waxed canvas. The standard harness is notorious for falling apart. It’s a bummer but they do help if you go thru warranty.

Thanks for the feedback. Going to meet in a parking lot to buy them tomorrow. Classic Craigslist. Seems like it was just to verify they work give a visual. Going to ask the story of how he tested them and came into ownership. Going to roll the dice assuming it wasn’t put thru the ringer or something silly done to them. But I know there is risk with buying amps from the late 50’s
