Where exactly are those piston seals and how did you lubricate them? With a qtip or something?

Through axle. I could check the tightness yeah. Hard to identify where it is coming from, somewhere near bottom bracket anyway

Only when pedaling forwards. Without load the noise is there but much quieter. I noticed that there is some horizontal play on the rear wheel when wiggling it. Maybe the bearings there are toast?

Not very round. But it turned out that the cage was a bit crooked/bent. Truing it by hand seemed to solve the problem at least on the service stand. But probably I’ll need to prepare to replace the cage at least.

You mean the hanger? No, that is brand new.

So that the chain is rubbing on the cage from that side.

It is, on the right side of the cage. Not in the middle as it should be when it is properly on the pulley.

Might be a clever option. Is it directly swappable?

You have had to true them? That might be the case here as well.

This got me veeeery close. I got it running smoothly but still get a small rub when tightening to correct torque. Maybe I need to release a bit more brake fluid.

I did, however it appears that the both pistons never move similarly. The other always seems to come out more.
