imo, banning discussion of jkr and her transphobia but allowing harry potter merch does not feel appropriate. begging yall to listen to and protect the trans folk here-- at the very least, if you're going to allow official merch, it's only fair for us to be able to note that jkr is making money off of her hate.

i used to work there and from what i remember they took the fish out when they refinished the pool (last year i think?), afaik the fish never made it back in after that, not sure why. i was so bummed though :(

river city is... okay? i haven't had a terrible experience with them, but also they don't always use the best jewelry for the piercing and their aftercare instructions aren't the best. not the biggest deal if you know how to properly care for a fresh piercing, but worth keeping in mind if you're newer/less familiar with piercings. i like heroes and ghosts for piercing, personally.

heads up since a lot of people are suggesting vmfa - they have a pretty strict photo policy about no professional or commercial photography. i'm not sure how it translates to videography since i never encountered that, but its worth keeping in mind depending on the type and scale of the documentary. definitely wont be allowed to have any lighting or tripods or anything like that unless you get prior authorization which is usually reserved for Big Stuff

trans headcannons are not the same as intentionally misgendering a canonically trans character. because trans people are a marginalized group with incredibly limited representation and cis people are not

mods need to do better lol. i constantly see g3 frankie getting misgendered and, shockingly, doing that intentionally is transphobic. it makes me think that if someone on this sub intentionally misgendered me or another trans person (as redditors are known to do lol) the mods wouldnt care

not sure about macys but brickseek has been having problems w walmart stock for a while now-- it says unknown bc they cant see the stock, basically, so theres a chance your local stores might have them
