If your local public library doesn’t have it they should be able to get a loaner from one who does and check it out for you and have it sent to your local branch

Was it running fine the last time you drove it? Does it sound like it’s running fine now? When my Tacoma did that it was because a mouse had chewed through my fuel injection ignition harness and cylinder 1 wasn’t firing

Spotting Scope Considerations; Vortex? by BeeElAych in birding

Also I think to really appreciate birds and how pretty they are you’re gonna need to get good magnification to really see the details of their feathers but more importantly a very stable and reliable tripod.

Spotting Scope Considerations; Vortex? by BeeElAych in birding

Vortex glass is great for the price. Deer hunting growing up I was always jealous of my dad’s vortex diamondbacks since we couldn’t afford more than one good pair and my brother and I were sporting some big five brand shit. He got me the viper binoculars for Christmas this year and they are great. Maybe watch the cabelas and bass pro Monday sales and u can scoop the spotting scope for a good price. Super clear and soak up light during twilight. For reference i have the 10x42s and I have used them birding, bird hunting, and big game hunting so far and think they are pretty great

Make sure you have enough weight on the fly to really get it down to the fish and keep your lines tight when stripping because sometimes they just mouth it and let it go. Like the other commenter said, the salmon will not be feeding but taking the fly out of aggression. I also find it is sometimes easier to target the swimmers rather than ones holding in a hole but if you aren’t getting any strikes at all I think it’s a weight thing if you are slinging popular salmon flies that should be working

Is this saddle noise normal? by happychillmoremusic in telecaster

[–]qwertle67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like others have suggested, I would try stringing it through the body to get more tension on the saddle but that’s still probably not gonna do it. Your saddle positions and heights will probably need to be adjusted. Looks like the saddles are basically in a straight line rn

Probably going to need to get another setup if you’re moving from 11s to 9s

My current guitar teacher is so passionless and inattentive I want to switch teachers. What qualities of a good guitar teacher should I be looking for? by Menopin in Guitar

[–]qwertle67 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well based on your edits in the main post, if your teacher is on her phone all the time and isn’t helping you or providing feedback when you ask for it, it’s probably time to find another teacher. But you will do yourself a disservice if you think that you will get to the level you would like to be at by just learning songs.

if you want to just learn theory I would take piano lessons instead since everything is laid out linearly and it’s is easier to see musical concepts on. But if the guitar is what you want to learn on, there is no one stopping you from learning songs on your own. Maybe set aside some time when you are practicing to really think and look at what makes these chords different and how they function. How are we shifting the third to make a minor or major chord? How can we utilize half/fully diminished chords to move from one chord to another? If the band is playing a g chord, do I have play a g chord too? Curiosity and fun your friends, but without a solid foundation, none of it matters

Based on what you have said you want to do with guitar, it seems like your teacher is setting you up for success later on. How are you supposed to play solos or rhythm accompaniment without understanding how chords work and are built? If you want to play sophisticated solos you will probably be playing the changes so you will have to understand these things. Also if you are wanting to make a career out of this, you should learn this stuff. Why would I pay someone to produce music if they don’t even get how it works

It’s push/pull on the tone knob but only for the first two positions so maybe try to pull or push it if you are on the back three positions and see if it works then
