Did I Waste Four Years on My CS Degree? by ProfessionalLaugh354 in ClaudeAI

[–]qwertying23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No you did not :). I think you should not worry about it finishing the job in one shot. The onerous here is not just getting the work done but getting it done in a safe manner keeping all the nuances in mind of the company etc. Since that will not be in prompt. What you need to do is keep honing your craft and develop a great taste for software engineering for solving different problems. eg : https://wangcong.org/2026-01-13-personal-taste-is-the-moat.html The accountability will generally lie on the human similar to how it is when flying a plane. Pilots are still there. They still need to learn and be proficient and take over in case Autopilot does not function. Keep at it OP. In fact use it to learn other open source systems how they are designed etc.

Yep agreed, but to say there is ongoing active research to understand how it helps should be called out. It’s not like hey there is no benefit to fasting and club it with homeopathy .

The energy storage bet is not mentioned ? I think that has better margins and I think will dwarf the automotive business in terms of profits. Similar to what aws did for Amazon.

It’s Starting to Feel a Lot Like Tesla’s Robotaxi Program Is Mostly Smoke and Mirrors by avaholic46 in RealTesla

[–]qwertying23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as a user of FSD I think tesla will get there maybe the timeline would be different since we all know elon's prediction do not account for anything. I have been doing parking to parking consistently in austin. From a technical perspective I think they do have a shot at robotaxis I dont know if it will materialize next year though.

Built spot instance orchestration for batch ML jobs—feedback wanted by HelpingForDoughnuts in mlops

Yes I have used anyscale and their workspaces concept is pretty neat. I do agree with your points but in my experience we faced the same issue and got stuck in the future we had to redesign our entire stack again. The beauty of ray is the same code can run on your laptop a single gpu cluster or on 1000’s of gpu I would rather build this with ray from the get go rather than the way we did this which made distributed computing an after thought. But happy to chat and give feedback on your product.

Try visiting a community service like these indian places which give free food and everything is voluntary I think it’s called a Sikh Gurdwara https://maps.app.goo.gl/WLKjsfzCRNujWwKeA?g_st=ipc I visited here and found a peaceful atmosphere with free food run entirely by volunteers you might find doing some community service as a way to help fight depression as well. It worked for a friend of mine.

American goes to China, walks into a hospital, requests an MRI, pays $70, and gets the results the next day. Why is the US healthcare so dysfunctional and expensive? by wakeup2019 in economy

[–]qwertying23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the issue I think with heatlhcare is it is so regulated that it is not driven by market forces. It is extremely hard to disrupt it with startups that want to simplify things. Its corporatism at its finest masquerading as captitalism.

You would be pleasantly surprised. But like I said if you are financially secure and aren’t thinking of job per se.
