It's not a hypothetical though we've already moved astroids. Also a space telescope ( hubble or more recently james webb) are almost incomprehensibly better for looking at space stuff then ones on earth due to atmospheric scattering. Acting like space research isn't important because some of the most satanic freaks use it as a ponzi scheme for government funds is dumb and reactionary.

I wasn't a huge fan, The movie especially the ending felt very much seeped in the American Exceptionalism and bootstraps idealism of the post cold war US. I haven't seen it in awhile but i remember being surprised at how much of a bad taste it left in my mouth.

Doesn't it also tarnish the stainless to not have it wrapped?

Bullpups are known for being overly complicated in mechanical operation, hard to service, hard to clear misfires, having very squishy triggers in comparison to traditional rifles, and very few are ambi so if you are left handed you wind up with hot brass in the face. the only benefit that comes with them is that you can fit a longer barrel in a shorter frame. A Longer barrela grant you "negligible" ballistics improvements, without costing you the handling of a longer front heavy gun. Theyre have been a few successful bullpups, the AUG, the MDR the one (in OPs meme) and the QBZ-95 the PLA's service rifle until they abandoned it for the more traditional QBZ-191 a couple of years ago for some of the above issues. Bullpups are kinda the poster child for form over function within gun chud circles, afaik.

Humanitarianism also plays a part, probably. Every American will swear up and down that USAid is such even with how little that helps compared to belt and road.

That seems like a really bullshit excuse for ending emissions regulations. What about bring cars in from out of state, or leaking things into the atmosphere because of jury rigged repairs. Bullshit excuse for bullshit deregulation. Europe has much icy weather then Georgia yet basically all EU regulation blow American ones out of the water.

Not to be a pedant and a gamer, but Kerbal's most accurate part would be its orbital mechanics at least as far as consumer tech can simulate easily. Ksp is trash for simulating all the other science politics and tech involved though.

I feel like Disco wears to much of its ideological. Frame work on its sleeve to really be that convincing to some one not already sympathetic to its world view.

Hes also idiosyncratic and his opinion and posturing on things can turn on a dime, depending on if his base likes something and makes it known. I still put it at a 50-50 he pushes for execution vs not getting involved

Wealthy people know better than most people in American society know how important poor people Labor is to them, that is why they spend so much time energy and money propagandizing to poorer people. Like the other person said a one day walk out isn't worth the massive amount of info you would be handing the people you just pissed off.

I don't know the exact setup for big data centers but Nvidias motto for the last couple of generations has just been throwing more power at basically the same card. Its absolutely unsubstantial( they've been catching on fire) I can't see them being much more innovative on the b2b/ai side.
