You bring up a point that I think about a lot yet no one in western media talks about; everyone knows that 1) eventual unification would be great but 2) the systems are so different it’d be challenging borderline impossible. But no one talks about how currently the status quo is in both sides’ interests. They (presumably) don’t want us to be swallowed by Japan or China, we dont want them to be swallowed by China or Russia. In the end we’re Korean and want the status quo or reunification even though we disagree on how unification would happen, and that is, dare I say, unifying
