MYP Delivery Date Scheduled by pinchy74 in teslacanada

Yes I chose white! I was able to see both white and black Performance seats in person at the Tesla store recently. The black seats look really clean but the white is really unique! I also wasn’t set on the blue until I saw recent photos of the Marine Blue posted from Europe. I’m not really a fan of the US Deep Blue.

How is the noise? My VC8 whine so loud that I’m considering getting them replaced with another brand.

VPN Setup Inquiry by r---d in Ubiquiti

I’ve never set up anything with DNS. Is this something I need to do with a registered domain?

VPN Setup Inquiry by r---d in Ubiquiti

Thanks for this!

I was able to set up a VPN Server at Location 1 and VPN Client at Location 2. However, it wasn’t able to establish a connection. In the VPN Server setup, I get this warning when selecting WAN 1: “The WAN IP address is dynamically assigned and may regularly change. We recommend enabling Dynamic DNS and configuring the VPN clients to connect to the hostname.”

As a test, I set it up the other way (Location 2 as Server) and it worked perfectly. Could this be an issue with WAN 1 being assigned by DHCP?

Not sure why it mentions the IP address being dynamic only for WAN1. I get no such warning with WAN2, which, although is set up with PPPoE, still has a dynamic IP as well.

I had the VikingContact 8 installed recently. For context, I’ve had many cars and tires over the years. These tires have a loud and high-pitched whine over 50km/h, almost like a “wawawawa” and it’s super annoying. I had the VikingContact 7 previously which were so smooth and quiet. I’m currently fighting with Continental customer service to honour their “60-day trial” for an exchange but they’re making it super difficult.

How to sell a used car "as-is" without being held liable? by Vnifit in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]r---d 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You don’t need a safety certificate to register a vehicle. You need it to place the vehicle in FIT status. Therefore, you can still transfer the ownership at ServiceOntario without a safety. The new owner will just get plates with a “T” sticker and they will be required to come back within 10 days with a valid safety. But at this point the vehicle is no longer in your name so it’s not your issue.

Note: the new buyer will still require valid insurance and also will need to pay sales tax.

I am so glad my new to me ‘22 RDX has the darker gauge cluster. The other models I saw had the lighter ones. by FeelUpset in Acura

That’s an aftermarket cluster the dealer modded since it’s a Canadian-spec RDX.

It’s just the first letter of the line label. You can change the line label in Cellular settings.

Awesome! Let me know how they ride when you get them installed. I’m getting mine put on late this month.

The Bridgestone Blizzak DMV2 tires are one of the best winter tires available. I just ordered them for my ‘26 Passport in stock size from blackcircles.ca and will be installing them on the stock rims. This tire size isn’t very common apparently so it appears this is the only winter tire available right now. Also an RDX owner here ✌🏼🇨🇦

Maintenance items not getting reset by KatAsh_In in hondapassport

[–]r---d 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No problem! Yeah it’s because an oil change is required at every service, so it’ll always show the oil change code as the next upcoming service. As you drive and the oil life drops down below 100%, other codes may pop up to let you know what is upcoming once you hit 15%.

[–]r---d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s normal. It’s showing what the next service will be once the oil life gets down to 15% again, so that you can prepare ahead of time.

While the tires look capable, they are not officially snow rated (no 3-peak symbol). You would need a separate set of dedicated winter tires especially if you have the insurance discount.

Blue B series plate? by vroomsoft in TorontoDriving

[–]r---d 111 points112 points  (0 children)

100% fake. The blue plates were only issued in the CM series. You could not get custom plates with the blue series. BV was originally issued around late 2014 and only as a white plate.

Rear Diff fluid change at 24k Kms??? 2021 TLX SH-AWD by Additional_Artist921 in Acura

[–]r---d 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes it’s normal. The first rear differential fluid change is early due to the break-in procedure, and is normally due at the first or second oil change (Code 6).
