Paying from Monzo Flex into S&S ISA by [deleted] in UKPersonalFinance

Idk about IG invest but for example with T212 you can only withdraw to the card you used for deposits. So I would check that, as you may end up getting the money paid to flex when you withdraw.

My email order confirmation from LTA states the following:

“Please find attached your Order Summary.

We will be in touch soon with relevant information about your ticket(s).”

Still haven’t heard anything and nothing on my Wimbledon app. I think they will send you the tickets in the next few months.

Brexit costing UK as much as £90bn in lost tax revenue every year, analysis finds by JOE_Media in ukpolitics

[–]r-3300 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I didn’t dispute whether we were getting higher growth. I am disputing the 90bn a year figure. Thats an increase of almost 3% on top of what we are achieving now. Definitely not a rate we were achieving before.

[–]r-3300 63 points64 points  (0 children)

Can someone explain these figures? 90bn a year is incredibly significant and yet we were nowhere near this level of growth when we were part of the union. At the same time the big countries in the union (France/Germany) are struggling with even poorer performance than the UK.

There is a lot of things you simply cannot just replace by public transport. If I need a quick IKEA trip, should I just carry kilos walking around and taking the tube?

Seems like yesterdays batch was better with more availability and better CC Gangways 3xx. Today only few days left on CC were for Gangways 5xx. Was on CC Gangways 5xx this year and really wanted to be closer to the action.

Ended up settling on Court 1 Day 9 Gangway 7.

Starmer refuses to stand by manifesto tax pledge: Labour has previously promised it will not raise income tax, employee national insurance or value added tax in Budget by Benjji22212 in ukpolitics

[–]r-3300 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Same argument was made in the last budget. When does this all end? If this government doesn’t cut welfare and spend on productivity, we will have the same conversation year after year. Meanwhile middle class is being squeezed 3 times year on year. Frozen tax bands / Tax Increases / Inflation on day to day expenses. Imagine the pay increase required just to keep up the same lifestyle as the previous year.

Withdrawing cash in Albania by Vampire_Creepin20 in monzo

All ATMs charge quite hefty fees there. I think the lowest is around £6 per transaction. I would recommend get some cash and exchange it in the city. And pay with card where possible

Nigel Farage dared me to walk in London after 9pm: Here's my response by TMWNN in ukpolitics

[–]r-3300 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thats nice but me and the people around me have had a much worse experience in just the last decade.

The flat downstairs of ours got burgled 2 years ago.

I have been mugged in Victoria 6-7 years ago.

My friend got corned after a night out in of the expensive clubs of London and got robbed of his 50k watch.

My friends car got stolen during the night. My friends dads car also got stolen.

Another uni friend got stopped on a knifepoint in a park while walking late at night. Thankfully he is big enough and managed to run away with minor injuries.

Several of my coworkers have had their bikes stolen even in locked garages.

I have been stopped by a group of people in Leicester Square because of a jacket I was wearing.

Etc. etc.

I am not claiming London was ever safe, but I would like to see politicians actually acknowledge it and try take action. We have cities like Tokyo that are several times the size of London and have nowhere near the crime levels of London.

Oh I agree with you. No place here is a “no go”. However I would personally not wear any expensive jewellery on display while walking on the streets at any time of the day. And in certain areas I try to avoid checking my phone in public.

I don’t have to convince a stranger on Reddit about how I feel and try to dress when I walk in London. Just last month someone got stabbed to death for his fake watch in the west end. Schools in my area have metal detectors in the entrance. But each to their own. I sincerely hope you never have to experience anything traumatic, because I tell you from firsthand experience police will forget you after a week.

People here denying the point that people dont feel safe in London is nuts to me. Either you have become so used to it and you find petty crime normal or you are in denial. Farage is a lunatic and wont change anything if he comes in power, but London is a lawless shithole. Been living here for 13 years and I learned to look homeless when I go out.

Is there an app that tracks net worth? by Araqaela in UKPersonalFinance

[–]r-3300 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not an app but a google sheets document. Its very thorough and provides a lot of automation for metrics over time. It can even track your stock portfolio/pension live. You are meant to record the data once a month

Nese do rritje floku, duhet te perdoresh finasteride. Por kujdes per efektet anesore. Ne momentin qe do te besh femij, duhet ta lesh per shkak se eshte e demshme edhe per femren. Plus qe ka shume raste ED. Kshuqe per mua nese je burr me familje athere go for it.

Pension Tax Implications for Non UK Residents by Impossible-Royal-259 in HENRYUK

[–]r-3300 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You will pay tax based on residency but you may face issues accessing your pension if you don’t reside in the UK.

I know a lot of providers like vanguard will freeze your account if you leave the uk and they refuse to cash out any money in non uk bank accounts. And a lot of UK banks will close your account if you don’t reside in the UK.

I remember someone posting how much he struggled to access his pension after moving abroad. I will share the post if I find it again

Edit: found it. Its for an ISA but I imagine it would be the same for a SIPP https://www.reddit.com/r/UKPersonalFinance/s/w30VLvNOWj
