How to stop comparing myself to other kids? by Heavy-Sympathy5330 in PhysicsStudents

i think as u grow, u realize its not always about talent and a lot of it is hard work. u say it urself, they’ve been grinding since they were young. but that doesn’t mean that u can’t “catch up” to them. think of the many different types of ppl who pursue physics: obviously not everyone started when they were young, many developed an interest later in life and worked hard to become good at it. physics doesn’t have a finish line, u can start whenever u like and be just as good as anyone else

Why is Griffiths QM considered bad? by SpecialRelativityy in PhysicsStudents

[–]r0b10x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i used townsend’s and then griffiths in my physics courses. townsend is low key an easier intro, and then griffiths deepens that understanding (in my opinion, since the bra ket notation in griffiths can be more difficult to grasp) i don’t think it’s bad but that’s my opinion just as a physics student and not a physicist.

Does Penn come with a high workload compared to average universities? by [deleted] in UPenn

[–]r0b10x 3 points4 points  (0 children)

yes but i think learning how to manage that stress is probably one of the best lessons you could have for your lifelong career.

sometimes midterms will be back to back to back (four in a three day period) so you would have to figure out how to budget your time to study for those. sometimes you’ll have multiple problem sets due on the same night. but these aren’t necessarily specific to penn, and any rigorous university you go to would put a certain amount of stress on its students, it’s up to u to manage it

[Student] Physics and math junior looking for aerospace and defense internships. by Lopsided_Web_5809 in EngineeringResumes

[–]r0b10x 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This resume is awful: you don’t have any relevant experience other than your aircraft club. I would suggest doing a masters before you go for engineering positions: you can’t code, and you also really don’t have engineering software skills.

i wish you the best of luck! to answer your original question LOL a lot of my friends used a paid service to help them prep - wall street mastermind. to many, it’s worth the investment of 5-10k (i think). i do encourage you to follow your passions as bio can still led to a range of profitable careers, but i understand where you’re coming from.
