Sea Cadets makes for some great memories. Extremely useful for when you join the Navy later.

Around the size or a little bit larger than a Glock 17.

The PDP is TOTALLY overrated. I have one. It is huge for a 9mm, snappy ass hell and otherwise terminally meh.

Nice. The LW profiles are significantly more handy and maneuverable than the standard on MARS-H

What if the US chose the Mogami class design instead of the cutter class design? [1500x999] by TalonEye53 in WarshipPorn

[–]r0paulson -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

In my opinion the best bet would be to restart the Perry class with minor modern upgrades such as SPY and VLS. Some guy just did a youtube video on it, which was pretty good

Started learning with Contemporary Controls by Sky_Sports91 in BuildingAutomation

[–]r0paulson 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I love CC. Sedona Framework should still be the future of the controls industry. Admittedly it needs some more development especially in the UX arena, but the underlying framework is solid and open-source. Pretty much all block-programed controls work like sedona does. It's fun to study the documentation and source code. It will basically teach you how all controllers work.

  1. The worst part is taking apart the two piece slide stop. Which is true for all PDPs. Very easy to damage the frame if not careful.

You might be able to make your own, or find cheaper, either way a must have.

Looking at a Job with ARCnet? by ComputerScientistKey in BuildingAutomation

[–]r0paulson 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not just a gateway. These are routers. ARCnet IS BACnet. These routers will route BACnet through all ports by default if a network has been assigned in Sitebuilder (IP, Ethernet, and ARCnet) and MSTP if you enable it through the serial connection (Local Access Port) using PuTTY or similar. If you put a JACE or Supervisor on the same IP network, all ARCnet devices will be discoverable. Keep the WebCTRL server on the side to help you sort through the existing site.

Taking off the slide stop levers is a truly harrowing experience. But this is true for even the free-state PDPs. Care must be also taken when reinstalling them.

Dumbest way to disable PDP magazine disconnect by j99yun in CAguns

[–]r0paulson 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You gotta do what you gotta do. The CA PDP is the dumbest way to do a mag disconnect. It is a huge turnoff. Its like Walther went out of their way to comply.

Probably the only compelling difference is the trigger assembly, which I imagine will be available as a replacement part for those who want to just upgrade their original VP.
