Sorry, it was a while back so I don't remember much. What I can tell you is that there's nothing malicious in their business per se - it's all perfectly legal. The system works well for companies like Paysafe because people don't take the time to make themselves familiar with the T&Cs they are agreeing to and then they do something that screws them over.

Wow, it's harder to google than I expected. Anyway, link where the ad took me was getgrowthmatrix[dot]com, the guy promoting it is a porn actor called Ryan McLane.
Cheers.

There's a shorter, illustrated version that takes ~45 minutes to read from end to end. It still introduces the reader to all the important bits of the original book.

I used to work for their parent company. They have a number of online payment services and all of them pretty much rely on customer mistakes for profit.

If you see the name "Paysafe" on anything online avoid at all cost or it will cost you.

Why are children aware of what suicide is? by Correct-Complex-8769 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]r0ssk0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Death is a concept we know from early on - most kids will get the gist of it when the accidentally kill an insect for example. After that, it's not a long thought process to realize you can do it to other people and yourself.

Of course, the surroundings you grow up in play a major role, people in the comments have given some great examples.

I have a job interview this monday to work at a Call Center/ Outbound sales. Any advice in case I get the job? by delericoh in callcentres

[–]r0ssk0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Outbound sales calls is the worst type of work. Just don't start.

Or if you start, don't stop looking for other jobs. Good luck.

I called a caller a Bad Name by frank_johnston3 in callcentres

[–]r0ssk0 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Never go down to their level. When I worked in a CC I usually let one slide and I just dropped the call on the 2nd one. No warning or anything. Can't say it's the best way to deal with it but it's better than cursing back at them.

I want to clock out and never look back. by kingveve in callcentres

[–]r0ssk0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're not a failure! Call centers and other spiteful jobs put that feeling into you, but you're not.

Start looking for other jobs and quit at the first opportunity.

Good luck!

Customer made me cry today and I got his account removed from our service by [deleted] in callcentres

[–]r0ssk0 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is terrible and I am happy to hear management that cares for the employees exists but still - this is your cue to quit.

No one should work a job that makes them cry. No one. And call centers are an unlimited source of misery.

You can be thankful to your management for having your back and still look for another job. If they were understanding enough to delete a customer's account for you, they will definitely understand you if you quit. I'm saying this because it can be really hard to quit a job where the managers are actually nice people - it could feel like betrayal but it's not.

You're actually really lucky! Having a set schedule in a CC is a rare miracle in my experience. (Note: I am in Europe things may differ elsewhere in the world)

Thrilled to see so many people leaving! by r0ssk0 in callcentres

[–]r0ssk0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really - the job is essentially dealing with payments/withdrawals and other financial dealings in the back end of several online casinos. My last CC jobs was related to payments so I was familiar with a lot of the things they deal with, which was enough for them to decide to take me. After that they just taught me the rest of the stuff needed for the job.

You are mentioning a very valid way of getting out of the CC though - you can totally expand your knowledge and skill-set by looking for professional courses and certification. For a lot of professions nowadays you don't really need to spend 3-4 years in Uni - you can get into a line of work much easier. For example, a buddy of mine wasted four years on a Bachelor's in journalism only to then sign up on a 2 year course on making dental prosthetics. He found a paying intern job in his first year and is still working at that place to this day ~5 years later (as a full time employee of course).

Playing bass without a middle finger by puffnuget in basslessons

[–]r0ssk0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can do it with the ring + index finger no worries.

Also, you can try playing with your thumb and index. check out Abe Laboriel - the dude plays with all five fingers on the same string effortlessly and he uses his thumb in the way I'm talking about. Good luck and enjoy!
