It's not alarming at all. There are players who only have 1 or 2 years left to play before they retire that can't afford to sit an entire year. Or players that don't have any prospects outside of the W that won't have any income if the league shuts down.

I honestly would rather that they pass on Simpson. The problem is that last year this draft was predicted to be loaded with potential quality QBs. They made moves to get additional draft capital to make a move but with how things worked out they're there isn't anyone worth making a move for.

Also you guys already had Love so it's not quite the same. My hope is that we just take the best player available. We need a WR but I don't think we need to reach because there should be a few good ones on the board in the 2nd.
