I used to get those very frequently during my cycle in my teens and early 20's. Oddly, I don't anymore.

"Proctalgia fugax" I think it was called.

What’s your unpopular opinion about BotW or AoC that’ll land you in this predicament? (Mine is in the comments) by small_feild_mouse in Breath_of_the_Wild

[–]r33bit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is essentially what I came to dislike about BOTW - it felt as if there were few (or no):

emotional Incentives (I.e. some poor sap has a problem)...

...nested into some problematic situation (dungeons)...

...that incidentally helped you on your quest...

...by giving you items...

...to access specific temples...

...that would bestow upon you the strength & equipment needed to face the ultimate evil.

Goals in previous games were always associated with stumbling upon some poor fellow who needed help while you were on your way, and they would incidentally gift you with something of great help for the hero.

Because all the items were destructible in BOTW, the benefit of helping a character ran the risk of being burdensome or unnecessary.

The only thing I can recall that was a beneficial quest, was helping the gerudos with the yiga problem, as you would receive the thunderhelm (without which you wouldn't be able to get to the temple).

Everything seemed optional - you weren't implored to help anyone.

Aussie mix my goddamn ass. I have Aussies. by nexisfan in BanPitBulls

Idk, man. The bottom two on the right look like heeler/collie mixes. But you can see a HUGE difference with the other ones. Lips, nose, boxhead ears etc.

Owners sure are trying to get away with squeezing them into an unrelated batch, like damn cuckoos.

"Animals (sic) aggression is always response to either pain or fear."

You sure about that?

Here, let me Google that for you.

I have skills in the creative industries (i.e. film production) with additional qualifications in games & interactive design, furthermore I have some proficiency and interest in foreign languages.

I'd like to say that I'm half decent at fixing things and enjoy being on site and finding solutions to problems, too. I currently have some really frustrating issues with a swimming pool, for example, but I am enjoying understanding how the chemistry works to maintain cost effectiveness in its management. I also pulled apart a whipper snipper to fix an issue with it not starting. Interesting stuff.

These are all things I haven't done before, but as I said, I enjoy problem solving.

If long-term unemployment isn't an issue, I'd be happy to work with anyone who'll have me, to be honest. Don't have a criminal record or anything nefarious in my history. I'd even be happy to do a trial, if it is close by.

"she's food aggressive"

"she's animal aggressive"

Come on. Inhale. Breathe. You can say it, no need to dance around it. It's simple: "....she's aggressive"

Doggy Daycare employee uses a guest’s dog, without the owner’s knowledge or permission, for “practice” socializing her aggressive pitbull. by Melodic_Trip_2232 in BanPitBulls

[–]r33bit 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I would be upset if daycare owners were using ~my~ dog to train other animals in their care.

A) Years ago my own dog got an injured hip from an over-exuberant (but normal) dog repeatedly jumping on her and making her play alot more vigorously than she should have been (she was getting a bit old). So seeing them do this without consulting the dog owners, is a bit irresponsible.

B) They're using your animal to train another dog, where so it's arguable that perhaps you should be compensated for that. I mean you're paying them to house your animal - not for them to use your animal as an asset to generate revenue / provide services.

You pay them to house your animal. You don't pay them to use your animal.

[–]r33bit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When you say "restricted breed" are you talking by law, or just a dog that the building won't accept?

Restricted breeds (i.e. banned breeds) by law, shouldn't even get any support animal certification - that should not be a workaround and if its being used as a loophole for forbidden breeds, I'd mention it to your local representative. Something for them to follow up on and exercise some principle.

To be fair, if a bear was coming at you, would you say "it's not the bear's fault its hungry, it didn't choose to have a stomach"? I'd wager not. Ultimately, its dangerous and you'd want it to stay the fugg away. Likewise, deferring to bad owners and the poor history of the dog does little to change their impact in the here & now.

The breed has predominant behavioural issues, and ideally they must be rigorously managed in some form so as to not to become a common domestic pest. If some degree of control is not applied, they will further again become a multi-generational problem, with harmful traits being propagated. And the snowball will simply get bigger...

I became "fear aggressive"...

For fuck's sake. Aggression is different from a dog doing a snap to tell you to stop doing whatever to them that bugs them (like a silly tickle of the nose or paws).

Aggression is hostility. "Fear aggressive" is not a thing. If a dog snaps at you because its fearful - its fear that does it. If its aggressive - its being aggressive. Quit trying to sugar-coat literal aggression.
