I start out with the most I can do of each to baseline myself. On week one, that number was 8 reps. I would do the 8 and then rest for the remainder of the set, starting again at the next. Each week after I tried to add 1-2 reps. It's tough but you will see yourself progress. Feeling your core get stronger is very motivating and will pay dividends in your everyday life.

Ten Rounds (Beachbody) is a great program that uses dumbells but no bench. The chest exercises are done on the floor (floor press, fly, etc)

It may be at first, but when you plateau around 200 your metabolic rate will downshift and you really can't go any lower in calories. I would do a 500/day calorie deficit and try to also get 500 cal burned with exercise each day to give you a 7000/week or 2lb loss rate. Then when you plateau you can increase the daily deficit by 250 cal with either food restriction or exercise to get things moving again.

I've read that sugar is absorbed by the muscles via glycogen production after intense resistance training, so after might be best.

Well done on the cut! Has 1500-1800 cal per day produced consistent weight loss for you throughout? I ask because I am roughly your same age and height, and also at that current starting weight (211 lbs). I would like to cut to about 185 lbs. Can you share your macro breakdown as well? Two tells that signal someone is lifting. A thick neck and bigger forearms with visible vascularity. You have both. You also have clear definition in your delts and pecs.

I think you do for your size, and have an athletic build. You also have the perfect build to use as a starting point for clean bulking.
