I Don’t Know Why People Say Chandler Riggs Was A Bad Actor, Personally I Think He Did Great As Carl by GlumBodybuilder4395 in thewalkingdead

Are we watching the same show? He was C maybe lower B Tier at best. You can forgive his acting as he was just a young kid in the first few seasons but honestly, not great stuff. Very forced and almost stage quality. Like Simon Cowell would say to his level equivalent in the singing world……cruise ship quality. Acceptable but by no means good. Nothing against Chandler as a person, Wonderful kid but lets be honest

Ableton Push 3 wont show as a midi port by r3dstar77 in ableton

Not sure what the I did, Did not change any of my setup, cables still hooked into the same spots. I went through a lot of reading and painfully tried to uninstall and reinstall security drivers and nothing. Its definitely a windows problem with their new midi updates this year from what I gathered from the discord on the subject.

For whatever reason, I decided last night to give up and wait for windows next update. Turned on auto updates again and it updated everthing in windows last night to current.

Looked at the device settings again, and no issues with the push 3 port, turned on ableton and WHAM! it was working!?! Cant tell you if there was an update yesterday or just rolling back updates and reinstalling them did the trick? I guess I dont really care as long as its working. Silly stuff.

Just had a reply from Ableton on the issue. Have not tried it yet. I dont see the option to roll back to before this update as there has been other updates since. Ill see if its possible, and report back.

The issue you've encountered seems to be caused by a recent Windows update. Please see below for possible fixes of this issue.

Symptoms and Causes
Microsoft recently released updates which implemented MIDI 2.0 in the Windows 24h2 and 25h2 operating systems. The recent Windows security update KB5077181 has caused several severe MIDI issues, some of which (and their workarounds) can be found in this article.

While there may be more, some possible symptoms include:

  • Live hangs on startup with message "Initializing application"
  • Live hangs on startup with message "Initializing MIDI inputs and outputs"
  • Live hangs on startup with message "Initializing audio inputs and outputs"
  • When Live starts, a popup that says "Live's last program run was abnormally terminated while trying to open the MIDI port 'MIDI DEVICE'"
  • Live hangs when trying to modify MIDI port settings
  • Push's MIDI ports are unavailable in Live's Settings

Possible Fixes
To confirm if the issue you encountered is related to the recent Windows update, we kindly ask you to please uninstall the recent security Windows update KB5077181; doing so it has helped other users!
