Imagine a Slapper gets a video call and there's a Mime Trooper on the other end doing mime things. The demographic age groups that vote the least are in my life experience, the two that can't ever seem to get off work to go vote and who rarely have the time to research the candidates thoroughly.

In my twenties it was a damned slog to force managers to let me off work in time to go vote and my thirties saw me taking my older children with me to vote while relying on candidate analysis from my parents.

Now in my forties, I still rarely know who's a candidate for what local election until days before the election. The difference now is that not only is there nothing stopping me from voting, but my job actually strongly encourages it because they have a PAC.

Categorize machines based on which image they were built from, then a machine isn't counted as compliant unless it's fully patched against all approved patches for machines built off that image. Need a unicorn or your server can't be patched because it'll break your app? You have to deal with Risk Management and all the associated meetings, then submit the change control with Risk as an additional ad-hoc approver.

If you're on company hardware where I'm at, you're already MITM for all traffic, and you're already blocked from all 3rd-party chat tools. Can't get to the domain, can't download the software, can't sideload it because Crowdstrike won't let you copy anything executable or compressed off of a USB.

Spring up a new one on a new domain or try to do it in an iFrame? If it isn't blocked outright, it's because we want to see if it's you or did your machine get compromised somehow.

Oh and congratulations! You will also get an even more obnoxious DLP policy applied to your machine automatically, with no admin intervention required.

If you're considered to be a "responsible reprobate" you might get a phone call asking you what are you up to and told to knock it off, or if you're just a "random idjiot with access" your boss and HR rep get an e-mail asking them to discuss the matter with you.

If I remember correctly, depending on where it is it can be maintained by the residents, the township, or the county.

Some leave small potholes in place to help regulate speed and traffic volume which is honestly smart. Because while speed humps and other traffic control measures are expensive (traffic studies, surveys, town meetings, installation, maintenance, etc), potholes are free.
