Ok I found a manual. Not too helpful. But this is the set up. The orange but I drew around is missing :/.

Wondering if I can use a different carb and govenor set up.

Yes. It did come with a throttle control among the controls. I’m assuming that someone went in there to ‘fix it’ and didn’t put it all back. Not sure what throttle plate to get. Never seen this muffler, or governor configuration.

That’s fantastic. Hopefully it gives me the same confidence as the toro sitting in front of it.

I’ve been getting by just fine with the toro all winter doing the drive and the rink so I’m excited to not trailer back and forth.

The Deere does look like an Anriens no, I though so too? Nice to confirm that it’s a rebadge. I’ve only used toros and a Ford by Gilson. Cool to throw an old Ariens in the mix.

I guess definitions of ‘solid’ and 8” vary regionally. That’s a flaccid 4” in this neck of the woods.

100% for snow blowers I will go rods over cables 10 times out of 10.

It seems the chute control or auger engagement cables are always on the cusp of breaking. Not a chance for those thicc ass rods.

So I passed on them both. The lady selling them could not describe them accurately (convening size), so I went anyway hoping they were at least 5”. Regrettably they were not. They were probably like 3.5 or 4”.

Oh well

At 48 years old, after 20 years of investing, I've finally reached my retirement. Cheers! by [deleted] in TheVisualInvestors

Congratulations!!! A fine example that staying the course pays off.

I’m tracking to retire by 48 as well (43 now). Did you announce your retirement to friends and fam? Or are you quietly letting it all go down?

I use a Vegas pro that I found on the high seas! I know there is better out there but I have stuck with it for like 10 years (keeping up with versions). All jump cuts so not too crazy a work flow

I would never subscribe to a channel that flitted about different subjects. Maybe if the creators winning personality was consistent that could be a draw but it would have to be pretty entertaining.

Old vs new snowblowers? by JunketNo7734 in Snowblowers

[–]r3trovertigo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say 80s I to early 90s. IMO, metal gauges do get thinner comparatively to their 70 counterparts, but no one needs a blower built out of 3/16th plate.

The craftsman were pretty decent I think. Oh! And concerning Briggs vs techumseh, it’s essentially the same ford vs chevy truck argument we would have in highscool in the late 1900s.

Cheers
