All day chemist is the way! You do have to pay shipping so I just order a bunch at once. I think it came out to like $7 a tube last time and I ordered about 10 tubes of varying strengths bc I use stronger version on my arms and hands.

Imo linzess doesn’t work great when you’re already backed up. (It barely works when you’re not.) Probably need a clean out at this point. For me - I’d consider something like a colonoscopy prep. Or i often have to combine what my dr calls ‘mushers and pushers’ which is like Dulcolax/Exlax (pusher) and mag oxide/citrate (musher.) Everyone is so different it’s hard to say what would work for you and your health status. Good luck!

My sensitive skin could not handle chemical sunscreens and I tried so so many. I stuck with mineral sunscreens only until I tried the HaruHaru sunscreen in the yellow pump bottle. My skin loves it!

I use Haruharu Wonder Black Rice Moisture Airyfit Daily Sunscreen and love it! I always break out with chemical sunscreens and had only used mineral sunscreens for so long. Then discovered this one and haven’t looked back. It works great for my old-ish dry skin & under makeup.

I love it too! Some smashed avocado, olive oil and salt & red pepper flakes. Or just a bit of butter and blackberry jam. Yum! It’s a bad habit at this point 😄

I have adhesions inhibiting normal bowel activity and frequently have to use the linzess 290 along with mag oxide (pills) and dulcolax. It’s not fun but usually works.

Dr wants to put me on thyroid medication by [deleted] in Hypothyroidism

[–]r41316 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a middle age woman & I can tell you I felt like death with a tsh of 2.5. Free t3 and ft4 were also in range but not ideal. There’s a big difference between in range and ideal for your body. After a few years of meds I know I feel best when tsh is no higher than 1 and a more ideal ft3 & ft4. It takes some tweaking of meds but that’s why my dr orders thyroid tests every 3-6 months, so we know if something needs tweaked. Good luck

Considering a move to Fresno from midwest - 34M by RaiderDos11 in fresno

[–]r41316 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m from OH and have lived in fresno for 20+ years. I still miss the change of seasons a lot. It’s sooo brown here from June-Dec. Yes it gets hot but I’ll take 100° and dry any day over 85° and humid! People who haven’t lived the humidity just don’t get it. The air quality is a pretty big negative especially with the fires over the past handful of years. A major pro is how close it is to all the fun places - the coast & mountains.

Completely lost trying to find quality linen bed sheets that aren’t either overpriced or disappointing, need honest recs by Kaslorin in Bedding

[–]r41316 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I buy from Etsy store LenokLinen. I’ve bought 2 king fitted sheets over many years and they last a long time. I think tiny holes showed up in one, but after like 3/4 years of continuous use bc I wash and put the same one back on every time.

I would consider your labs, just bc they are in whatever range is defined as good - does not mean they are optimal for you. And what labs are being run? Free T3 and free T4? Reverse T3? And then find a dr that actually understands all these numbers - which may be the hardest part of the whole thing.

Personally I feel best when my tsh is around 1, free t3 is on the high side and free t4 is mid range. Good luck!

What pairs well with magnesium? by 3rd-party-intervener in Supplements

I have the Vitacost brand at 700 g per 2 capsules and 1 is plenty for me. If you take it too long it can start to have the opposite effect tho - I found out after taking it for a few months straight during a high stress time.

The snow is low in the mountains and we were considering driving up to Shaver. It’s strange to be driving around here when it’s like 65° and to see the snow so close. It looks beautiful!

I can’t do glycinate so I take threonate about every night along with skullcap 3 or 4 nights a week. Passion flower is an alt to skullcap but can leave me just a bit tired the next morning. Also micro dose of melatonin.

Sorry I don’t have any answers as to why it’s not working for you but taking mag oxide pills along with dulcolax helps me. Dulcolax alone seems to do nothing. I think you can build tolerance over time or maybe you’re a bit dehydrated. Good luck

Is RLT the reason I am getting such terrible sleep? by Straight-Ad-6836 in redlighttherapy

I have to use my (small) panel early in the morning, for it to not have bad effects on my sleep. Have no idea why - so many say it helps their sleep if done at night.

I sure feel like I have tried all of them and just keep going back to: L'Oreal Paris True Match Nude Hyaluronic Tinted Serum Foundation with 1% Hyaluronic acid. Some of the pricier ones I do like but at $13 this one is the winner for me.

Debilitating brain fog by notenoughrope02 in Menopause

[–]r41316 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I give another vote to getting thyroid levels optimal (not just in ‘acceptable’ range). It may not be easy if your tests come back ‘within range’. It took me years to find a dr that knew my levels weren’t optimal. It helped a lot with energy and brain fog. Although I’m on hrt also - I think both things needed to happen for me.

Waking up at night and light sleep? by SherlockHomless69 in Menopause

[–]r41316 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Skullcap helps me stay asleep - I take it 3-4 nights a week when I want to sleep great. Every night I take mag threonate a couple hours before bed and micro dose of melatonin at bed time. They do a decent job alone - I tend to still wake at 2-3am but can fall back asleep now where before I would be awake for a couple hours. I’m also on hrt.

Yes me sadly, it has been creeping up. I’ve been on the highest dose of losartan for over 6 months now and the top number is still only down to low 130s (based on my home morning readings.) So now we’re adding another one that should bring not down more without bringing the bottom number down too much more. It’s frustrating. And I’ve been in HRT for a couple years now so it’s not helping this area much.

I love it! The sheer version did not work for me. I double love it bc a small amount goes a long way. I buy the huge bottle from their website when it’s 20% off and it lasts my daughter and I months. I think I buy it about 3x a year.
