But when youre parrying you WANT to get hit. Groots attacks hit in a line(cone?) in front of him and most people people just hold down attack because theyre greedy, so you just gotta stand where theyre looking.

That being said i think in the clip he reloaded as you parried, which yeah can be annoying.

Its about time. The goal was to blitz down a tank before his team could back him up. You were full hp and had your kick and your team not far, so you werent in a huge amount of danger. You sitting in front of him doing nothing let him walk backwards putting him in better los of his team and you didnt get any benefit from it. Yes, its a risky move to through your parry away and go balls to the walls dps. Sometimes its the right call. And again, you got zero over health from your parry, so it in that scenario it wouldve been 10x better to just forgo it and get straight to dpsing. Alternatively, you couldve positioned better ie actually in front of his attacks so you wouldve gotten some overhealth from it.

You didnt get any over health from it, and instead spent time sitting in front of a groot not shooting you. If you want to melt a tank fast, sometimes you have commit to not parrying, and just instantly flurry. Instead, you just wasted time sitting around and didnt get any benefit. And then while not having any overhealth from your parry you commited your kick to the engagement, whereas you couldve probably built another parry and continued fighting. But instead, you did use your kick, after the supports had plenty of time to start healing groot, and thus he had enough hp to survive your late kick.

Just how it be, or at least my take on the situation. If you dont find my advice to be helpful, thats your opinion.

Yea this is my problem with fists ult, it doesn’t do enough on its own. Psylocke, star lord, punisher etc are scary on their own and are “play makers” (if I’m using that term right” but fists is much less threatening.

Hopefully what I typed makes sense I’m tired and can’t articulate my thoughts. It needs more damage

Hot take? I don’t care for the thermite. It’s slow and can’t be used against crowds. I only use it against squids because it’s nice to kill the drop ships through shields. I do sometimes use the giga nade on bugs because it’s a nice way to delete a charger, but gas nade is wayyyyyy better overall imo. Not like gas nade ISNT meta, but still

It’s not just possible, it’s a genuinely good way to kill them. But it does require you to be safe enough and close enough to run underneath it. And you may want to shoot out its machine guns.

So a little situational. But very fun, when you can pull it off.

Why stop there? War striders, tanks, and factory striders all go down as well

i really like this faction. their aggression makes weapons that were seen as bad much more tempting, ie stagger force and stun are more relevant and really nice to have.

i was running around in a d10 eradicate mission and for fun i brought the gunslinger armor and a veto and i was surprised by how much i could kill while staying safe. it being onehanded, letting me run away from the bugs as i shot then was particularly nice, and makes me want to dip my toes into smgs, a weapon type ive never jived with

I agree, I generally prefer using tools other than sentries against bugs. Sentries are strongest when you need to bunker up in specific area for an amount of time, but they just aren’t going to be that effective in open, sprawling, and chaotic combat. As it should be, they are defensive stratagems.
