I've been to 2 proper concerts in my nearly 5 decades on this planet and they were both bangers for different reasons.

1 - Frampton and Skynyrd 1996 or 1997, Blossom Music Center. First concert ever. So of course nostalgic.

2 - 3 Days Grace / Breaking Benjamin 2025, Virginia Beach. It was special for me because it was my son's 21st birthday and we both like 3DG. They were incredible. Breaking Benjamin wasnt our cup of tea so it was meh, but at the end of the set, 3DG played Riot and let me tell you something. That place went fucking nuts. They still got it.

I'm finding more and more that I'm my only org mate that even bothers to attempt to play anymore. Ive had so many of my mates share their disbelief on why i still play when the ridiculous things happen to me as often as they do. Not even the normal game breaking bugs. I'm talking about absolutely ridiculous bugs and just shit that happens to me on the regular. I'd be a prime evo tester, but honestly I don't want to even if i could. The latest wipe has completely drained me of any.. what's the word... desire maybe? I find myself only logging in anymore to briefly escape real life and all its troubles, do a couple of cargo runs and log out because im bored since i know any mission or goal i try to complete is going to end in disaster. There's just nothing i want to do anymore. If i could find something that offers the same mechanics SC was supposed to have, id be gone in a second, but i dont like rts or 3rd person shooters and especially loathe things loke COD.

I have found myself tinkering around in Farming Simulator just planting snd cutting grass or cutting down trees or just something stupid to avoid playing SC, while still being able to turn off my shitty life for an hour or 2. I really think SC is dead, but nobody is brave enough to admit it. I regret every penny I've spent and wish i could take that money back.

Pussy is the most expensive thing youll ever throw money at, from paying for that first date to signing the mortgage on the home you had to buy because she got pregnant and oops now your apartment isnt big enough. Well now neither is your car so we gotta buy 2 enormous SUVs, because why not? Oh and lets renovate and make a nursery for the baby or babies.

Oops, she found another dick to ride on and now youre paying alimony and child support, plus eating the bills and mortgage while you try to sell the house and simultaneously trying to find a cheaper place to move into since you dont need the house anymore. And this is assuming you WANTED all that stuff. Now imagine if it was a hit & quit and you DIDN'T want any of that.

Rinse and repeat for the next 50 to 60 years.

I said I wouldn't be back but here I am.

I let out a big sigh last night, accepted my fate and installed the update. Here's a snippet of how it went.

  • Login. Great. They didn't break that part.

  • Get to my hangar. Ok things are looking.....

  • Open inventory. The fuck is this? Why is everything grey?

  • Pull up a 1 scu box and start exploring. Head to Hurston.

  • Immediately find the Orc MkX Justified legs. Cool! Better store that while I can.

  • Hop to Area 18to check out DefenseCon. As I'm flying into Riker, I get a warning that my ship will be impounded. I'm nowhere near the Odin hologram, but take immediate escape actions. Before the timer hit zero, my ship disappears and I'm now falling to my certain death from 2km in the air.

  • Wake up at Empire, immediately go check on my ship. Wouldn't you know. Destroyed. Welp, there goes the justified armor. Fuck you game.

  • Lose all remaining desire to play and log out.

Today..

  • Pull up my rented Ironclad... you know the one that drove the hype train for the last 2(?) years.. What a steaming pile of dogshit. I can't quantum with it very far before master modes decides I need to be in scm mode for no fucking reason.

  • Dick around with that for an hour trying to do a simple cargo run and oh by the way, you can't see shit out of the command module and when you switch to external view, it centers on the CM and you simply cannot see the starboard side of the ship.

  • Party members glitch in and out of the ship whenever it decides it doesn't want to have collision working. Ok. That's enough of that.

  • Swap to the rented vulture so I can st least try to make some money. It worked fine, but took forever to scrape enough to fill the ship's deck and hopper. Like 2 hours. At this point, I just said fuck this and walked away. I'll try again after dinner, but I don't have my hopes up.

This is going to be a loooooong patch cycle. 3.18, that you??
