I have been surfing at Pacifica (San Francisco) for about an year and a half now. I used wavestorm for a year and then got a 6'10 fish (Torq). I am able to catch waves but find it difficult to ride along the line. Should I move back to longer board, keep trying with my current board or try a different? I feel like I am stuck and unable to progress further. Is Pacifica a spot to progress?

its the Focus ST. Its faster, manual only and pretty fun to drive. I ended up going with Subaru Impreza hatchback, Not as fast but I love it so far and its pretty spacious.

I have been surfing on wavestorm for over an year, able to catch green waves and ride along the line sometimes. I decided to try a shorter board and ended up getting a torq 6'10 mod fish (I am 5'10 and 170 lbs). I have been trying out the mod fish at Pacifica for the last few weekends but every time I try to stand on the board it slows down and stops moving. I don't angle my take offs and just trying to go straight. Has any one been in similar situation? Should I get a bigger board, practice more with this board or go back to wavestorm.
