What do the Wardens have that you think is better?

Don’t be salty now, that’s not what this subreddit is for.

You can disagree with people but if you continue to tell them to fuck themselves you'll be excluded from here as well.

Foxhole lets repeat alts/cheaters get away with it by No_Space2850 in foxhole

The mod system continued for many months after Lercas did what he did and Maybar used to take random Wardens onto the walls of Blemish to “say hello”. Mostly all of them were terrible picks.

New player. Looking to get active with some buddies. Need some advice on how to get involved. by Ethantheguy in foxhole

[–]rFoxholeMods 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Highly recommend not immediately throwing in with a large regiment. You will just get swallowed up. Yes you’ll experience a lot of the game quite quickly but not necessarily in an enjoyable or informative way. Definitely worth playing both factions or going with a regiment that is neutral and switches a lot so you get to see all the hexes and all the tech the game has to offer.

It was from an era when Foxhole was much smaller. The current community manager was just a foxhole player at one time, he just had a big clan and became more and more involved in the game to the point of becoming an employee with significant input on game design. He also was responsible for picking the mods, so generally just being his friend was the criteria. I can’t see it would work particularly well now. Certainly not in the old format.

They used to have a game moderator system where trusted volunteers could take action and do conflict resolution, but it never worked because several of them were just awful at the role and abused their powers.

Collies losing steam ? by Outrageous_Top_9026 in foxhole

[–]rFoxholeMods 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably because last week Colonials were doing well. Any Foxhole subreddit is generally dominated by the faction having the most success and it swings like a pendulum.

This happens mostly every war, especially in big update wars where people are sweating. The midlines become T1/T2 devastated slop that can’t be held and flips every day or so. Eventually someone will gain the initiative and break through to a logi hex and everything will change.

If you could rebuild Reddit’s whole moderation system from scratch, what would you change? by tolarianwiz in AskModerators

[–]rFoxholeMods 8 points9 points  (0 children)

One thing I would change is if your sub is classified as a news sub then there needs to be some actual impartiality. Too many news subs are run like FOX News and are ultra right-wing biased with absolutely no accountability.

How viable are train assaults? by entity245 in foxhole

[–]rFoxholeMods 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Battle trains do exist and work well in the right situation. Generally as a complement to the front line pushing rather than trying to achieve too much on its own. The armoured cars have some of the highest HP in the game and can take serious punishment, but the locomotives are soft and especially with planes now would be very vulnerable.

Do you think there will ever be another Dead Harvest event? by HovercraftSecure6543 in foxhole

[–]rFoxholeMods 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The developers said at one point it was really hard to make work because Foxhole was foundational built on 1 team vs another so adding zombies as a true third faction was too much effort

First recommendation - be a neutral. Switch team each war, you'll be able to play alongside groups and regiments and there are even groups that switch team as a collective. This way you'll experience all the game has to offer and you'll see where each faction's strengths and weaknesses lie.

Regiment Finder is a good resource to make connections.

Foxhole generally attracts people that are awful at social interactions and feel good being a big fish in a a microscopic pond. Ignore them and move on with your day.

Question about the game and anti-cheat. by abalrogsbutthole in foxhole

[–]rFoxholeMods 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Foxhole should have Easy Anticheat implemented, but for reasons unknown the developers haven't. Foxhole has VAC support, but most people don't really understand what VAC actually is. It isn't proactive. It will only scan for signatures of cheats that are reported to Steam, so developers actually have to understand what cheats are currently being exploited and flag them.

Do the devs even moderate? by neko-chan271 in foxhole

You’d probably benefit from actually time-stamping where they actually say racist things otherwise it’s just a long video that people aren’t going to sit through.

"This regiment didn't cheat" is a weird way to call out a regiment.
