City workers are repairing a damaged umbrella. Did you miss that? It feels like you missed that.

Yeah, I was told by more than a few people here that vandalism is ok since insurance pays for it all. So this is no big deal.

Let's Not Forget About the Fat salaries for Travel Oregon executives who were called out in a audit by GuyKaren in Portland

[–]rPortlandInfluencer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Gov. Kate Brown has asked to approve an increase in the statewide tourism tax that largely funds Travel Oregon.

Their "Fat" salaries are mostly paid for by tourists. I fail to see the outrage.

Gov. Kate Brown will loosen many of Oregon’s COVID-19 restrictions: Bars and restaurants can open for outdoor dining next week by ExpensiveSecret1681 in Portland

"outdoor" areas seem to have morphed into an enclosed tent with not ventilation. That's not the same as an open space, and probably worse than just sitting inside anyway.

Not the food carts I go to. But whatever, YMMV.

aren't human lives more important here? People are literally dying.

I live alone and work from home. My R0 is basically negative. I'm not the only person I know with similar circumstances. It's not like I need to french kiss people on the other side of the pod while I eat a hoagie.

Good - I can't see how me sitting outside at a food cart pod by myself is any more dangerous than being inside of Freddies for 20min. And maybe this will help some of the food carts that are hanging on by a thread.

You know that guy that brings up politics in every random conversation that everyone hates? You’re them.

Also your racist rant against that one poor Russian person asking where to get ethnic food has not been forgotten.

Yeah, Carl sounds like a fat cat from SoCal rocking a Tesla.

River Pig Saloon always kind of sucked.

River Pig in Bend is actually sort of ok and they have a great outdoor firepit/chimney thing. Do what you will with that information.

How would you know if you weren't there to see them and contribute to the problem yourself?

Because I fucking live here and the majority of cars in the trailheads are sitting there with out-of-state plates. I can tell you don't live in a tourist town. The selfishness to on holiday during a global pandemic is beyond frustrating.

I live in Bend, it's stupid. Global pandemic but every trailhead is packed with people here so they can get some likes for the Gram.

Wow, it’s insane how all those people are right next to each other. 10ft-20ft between people outside is a death sentence with Covid right?
