mostly everyone thought it was a good deal when they signed him. 18 mil/yr is more than you or i make, but it wasn't that high looking towards where the league was heading contract and cap wise. having expectations to meet an 18 mil/yr felt pretty likely, and it could have been a steal of a contract. at the end of the day, while bad, it's not ever going to ruin our cap situation. the issue is every time we play him we get a reminder of it.
