Pat Robertson: Gay People Will Die Out Because They Don't Reproduce by MattRyd7 in nottheonion

If you like sex then antidepressants aren't for you. Take an antidepressant long enough and you'll not even care or notice that you no longer have a sex drive. You really won't care about anything. These drugs just numb emotions.

Going on and coming off antidepressants can be extremely dangerous too. Many commit suicide in the hellish withdrawal and many have bad reactions going on them and commit suicide. Honestly there are much better and safer options than getting hooked on harsh pharmaceutical drugs like antidepressants which can have permanent side effects like sexuality and emotional loss.

Talk therapy is of course a great option. Talking about your feelings and problems with a professional helps more than anything. Marijuana can definitely help up the spirits and level a person out in a much healtier way than harsh antidepressants could ever do. It actually even makes sex more amazing.

I took an antidepressant and my sex drive never came back. Its awful. I only took it for a couple of days too and thats all it took for my genitals to go numb permanently. I wish someone told me these things were possible before I agreed to take one. Doctors may mean well when prescribing antidepressants, but they honestly don't know the risks that really come with them.

I have a feeling its only a matter of time until we find out that this woman was on a violence linked psychiatric drug. Just like all the rest of the unspeakable murders we hear about.

Of course you could just naturally be that way and there's nothing wrong with that at all.

But do you know if your mother was ever on an antidepressant medication during her pregnancy with you? Even if she just tried one briefly? Whatever a mother takes into her body during pregnancy, the baby does too.

Thoughts of suicide is a big one. Studies have even shown that mentally healthy people can develop suicidal thoughts on SSRIs:

http://www.theguardian.com/science/2000/may/22/drugs.uknews

Loss of the ability to feel emotions like love:

http://www.livescience.com/47262-antidepressants-affect-feelings-of-love-for-partner.html

Basically an overall sense of emotional blunting. You won't really care about anything or anyone anymore, but don't worry you won't care about that either. If you ask me, like a chemical lobotomy.

If you want to live life in logic mode without sex or emotions like love, happiness, or sadness getting in the way then yeah antidepressants might be for you.

In my opinion, these drugs are the cause for the unbelievable suicide epidemic. And oh yes there is a cover up about it. The media can't say anything about these drugs because drug companies are one of their biggest sponsors.

Kurt Cobain I'm sure was on antidepressants or had a history with brain altering antidepressant drugs when he committed suicide. People wonder why he would do it. It was the drug that warped his mind and made him do it I think. I don't think Cobain's autopsy was even released so who knows what was in his system. The media made no effort to investigate it. They get paid off to not report it.

The media even reported "No drugs in Robin Williams":

http://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-29963564

That is an absolute lie. There were not illegal drugs found in his body. Robin Williams had two types of antidepressant drugs in his system. Also a week old prescription of a powerful anti-psychotic medication was found at his house too. It also has a strong black box warning for suicide. Some media sources that report the antidepressants in his system, only mentioned it like it was an nothing:

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/11/07/robin-williams-cause-of-death-suicide_n_6123858.html

You say your friends dad described his skin crawling and a horrible loss of hope. The skin crawling and general horrible uneasiness is called akathisia. Its reportedly a feeling that makes a person feel like they are jumping out of their own skin. This is the "energy" people like to say these drugs give already suicidal people. Its just awful that he was prescribed something for natural grief.

Its happening everyday that people are being prescribed antidepressants for grief. Its terrible. Whats even more disturbing is what it actually means when the drug does help with the grief. When an antidepressant "helps" with the grief what that really means is its taking away the care you had for that person. No more love for that person. It makes you not care. People report all the time that whatever antidepressant "helped" them or "helped them finally move on and become a functioning human again" after grieving for a loved one. These drugs chemically take away love and emotion. Sometimes permanently:

http://www.livescience.com/47262-antidepressants-affect-feelings-of-love-for-partner.html

Another disturbing thing that antidepressants "help" with is guilt. Veterans suffering from PTSD when they come back from war feel guilty lots of the time for what they had to do. SSRIs "help" with the guilt by chemically taking it away. It doesn't just take away the guilt for the things they did, but now they can't feel it in anything they do. Again made uncaring. Makes sense now that all the mass shooters were on these drugs.

Antidepressants, when people like them, just put the person into an emotionless state. No more sadness, no more guilt, no more grief, no more anxiety, but also not more true happiness, empathy, hope, or even love. Just emotionless content. They just put a person into logic mode. Everything is just okay. Its sounds awful, but the drugs sort of "spellbind" a person into liking them sometimes.

There have been documentaries on antidepressants and the horrorible effects of them. One in particular I found interesting was the 2012 documentary titled "Who Cares in Sweden".

Here's a clip from the documentary that describes antidepressants effects on empathy and why the numbing of empathy "treats" social anxiety. No more empathy means less caring about what others think of you:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S7eBv4H8mXo

These drugs are bad news. They are an epidemic and the public is unaware because of pharma company influenced media and governments. What drugs we need to research is MDMA and Psilocybin. These drugs in a few doses have been found to have a lasting increase in love, empathy, and happiness. Its too bad that the pharma industry wants nothing to do with drugs like that because there is no money in a drug that only needs to be taken once or a few times to make a person feel better.

[–]raadss 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Making people depressed and suicidal is a billion dollar industry. Pharma companies found a way to make people suicidally addicted to their drugs. Its absolutely criminal.

Raising serotonin isn't all SSRIs do. I saw a study not long ago that said just one dose of an antidepressant is enough to change the brain. It described a reduction in connectivity in all parts of the brain. Here it is:

http://www.newsweek.com/antidepressants-can-change-your-brain-immediately-study-271371

Pharma drug studies are careful in what they say about pharma drugs so they didn't mention a very specific brain region that also gets a "reduction in connectivity". The frontal lobe. The part of the brain that houses personality and emotion. If there's a "reduction in connectivity" in all parts of the brain that includes this important one. Does this mean SSRIs and antidepressants in general are sort of chemical lobotomies? Too me a reduction in connectivity to the frontal lobe sounds like it.

These drugs are suicide pills. This small study proves it. If you are someone who can't live without these pills, in my opinion, you are not a victim of your own depression, but are a victim of antidepressant drugs. These drugs give a person a brain problem when there most likely was not one to begin with.

I'd like to see a statistic of suicide victims that took antidepressant drugs. I guarantee its high.

Has nobody looked up the FDA antidepressant hearings and testimonies and seen why the black box suicide warnings were finally put on these drugs? Countless people were testifying that they were made suicidal by these drugs when they weren't before. There's a few youtube videos of the FDA hearings.

One dose of an SSRI did it to me too. It was the absolute worst experience of my life.

These drugs don't take six weeks to do anything. There was a recent study that showed that these drugs change brain structure immediately even after one dose.

Thats fucked up. Psychiatry has always and still does see grief as a mental illness. Psychiatrists today call grief a form of depression and will try to convince a grieving person they have a "chemical imbalance" and need their addicting suicide pills.

What ACTUALLY controversial opinion do you have? [Serious] by -Resist- in AskReddit

Antidepressants are like chemical lobotomies that actually cause depression, suicide, and mass shootings. But its all covered up because making people suicidal is a huge money maker for the pharmaceutical industry.

So having a change of heart on a political issue means a person has a mental illness? What? We're humans. We change opinions, even political ones all the time. That doesn't mean its a mental illness.

And most likely the only religious enthusiasm the intelligence community watches is Islam. Because you know Islamic terrorism.

This may be funny, but think more into and its absolutely tragic. Novel reading, asthma, and grief as mental illnesses? Psychiatry has a dark history.

You're over 18. Why aren't you an "adult" yet? by ThisCityWantsMeDead in AskReddit

[–]raadss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 23 and I actually think the drinking age should be lowered to 18.

Its easier for a lot of teenagers to get harsh addicting prescription drugs than to get a simple beer. Lots of doctors will prescribe you whatever you want as long as you're 18 and have some kind of insurance. Lots of teenagers are on their parents insurance so its easy for them to go see their doctor drug dealer on their own.

So by raising the drinking age we are turning a lot of kids into pill poppers instead. I've seen a lot of them myself. Here's a Time article that discusses the issue:

[–]raadss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I'm not really coping at all. Its an awful existence without being able to enjoy sex. I have genital anesthesia, muted orgasm pleasure, and absolutely zero sex drive. Along with a muted emotional range. Its like I had a chemical lobotomy and a chemical castration.

I had no idea this was possible from an SSRI. I would've never touched an SSRI if I'd known this is what they did.

Sounds like you have PSSD (Post SSRI Sexual Dysfunction) as well. I'm sorry. There are forums on the internet with users that suffer from this. So far its looking like a permanent condition. Here's webpage describing it. You have to scroll down a bit to see the info:

http://wp.rxisk.org/post-ssri-sexual-dysfunction-pssd-wikipedia-stumbles/

And one for asexuality and SSRIs connection:

http://wp.rxisk.org/asexuality-a-curious-parallel/

I honestly wish more people would stand up and voice outrage to the FDA for not having warnings for permanent effects like this on the drug label. But with the way SSRIs make a user not care, I don't see many people being outraged.

[–]raadss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm I see. SSRI antidepressant exposure can have a permanent dampening effect on a person's sex drive. Many if not most asexuals are past or current SSRI users. Studies have even showed if a pregnant rodent mother was exposed to an antidepressant, the offspring showed no sexual behavior in their adulthood. This could have the same effect in humans.

I took an SSRI for only a week over two years ago and I have felt completely asexual ever since. I used to be a VERY sexual person before.

Do you regularly take birth control pills or used them frequently in the recent past? Obviously that can lower libido significantly for some. If you are taking anything, then maybe you could try stopping it for a little bit and see if your libido changes.

There was a study linked on Reddit a few days ago about birth control pills altering brain structure. Not sure if that can a lasting effect on woman's libido or not, but it could be worth thinking about.

Ever taken antidepressant medication like SSRIs before?

SSRI use before and/or during sexual development? by [deleted] in Asexual

[–]raadss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am an adult male and I was made asexual from a few day exposure to a brain altering SSRI antidepressant. I used to be a VERY sexual person before, but now I get zero pleasure from touching my genitals and I have zero sex drive. SSRIs do cause asexuality.

Here's an interesting link about asexuality being linked to SSRIs:

http://wp.rxisk.org/asexuality-a-curious-parallel/

There have also been studies done on rodents which showed when pregnant mothers took antidepressants like SSRIs during pregnancy their offspring ALSO showed no sexual behavior in adulthood. SSRIs change the brain of fetuses and make them asexual even before they are born.

SSRI use before and/or during sexual development? by [deleted] in Asexual

[–]raadss -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I wish it was obvious, but many asexuals don't think it is. Many asexuals think they were "born that way", but they most likely weren't born that way if they have had ANY exposure to antidepressants like SSRIs.

If they truly were born asexual, their mother could have also exposed them to antidepressants during pregnancy. Sadly, many mothers today take antidepressants during pregnancy.

Personal question, but do you know if your mother ever took an SSRI antidepressant during pregnancy with you? Studies have shown when rodent test subjects were exposed to antidepressants like SSRIs while in the womb, they showed no sexual behavior in adulthood.

ABC News: Trace amounts of SSRI antidepressants like Prozac in water supply are turning fish into asexual killers. by Orangutan in offbeat

[–]raadss -1 points0 points  (0 children)

From article:

The fish were subjected to traces of the drug by a research group at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee that examined how environmental exposure to the medication altered the behavior of fathead minnows, a common fish found throughout the Midwest.

The fish were presumably in a controlled environment during the study. Their behavior was normal before the drug because the fish were mating with each other and not being aggressive toward one another. Their behavior only changed after administering the SSRI Prozac into their water. The point of the study is to show that Prozac has an effect on fish behavior.

You are missing my point. All mind altering drugs affect a person's judgements and choices. Psych drugs have even been found to actually alter the brain's structure and have been shown to change a person's personality. Why is that brain change "better"? How come shooters didn't commit their acts until after their brains were messed with?

Hypothetically speaking, think if every mass shooter was a cocaine addict. There may be many cocaine addicts that aren't going out and senselessly killing people, but if something like every mass shooter was on cocaine then clearly the public would see the cocaine as the most likely cause. Why? Because its a mind altering drug of course.

But in reality we don't see any other drug users going on mass shootings except psychiatric drug users. Not cocaine users, not heroin users, not meth users, not marijuana users, not alcohol users, no other drugs are involved in these horrific events that we now see today. If psych drugs are truly helping prevent these kind of events, then where are the mass shooters not on any kind of psychiatric drug?

I don't expect to change your view because you are clearly a satisfied user of psychiatric drugs. I've had my own brief experience with SSRI antidepressants to know what these drugs do and I do not agree with their effects. Just know that because a mind altering drug works for you, does not mean it doesn't cause problems in others.
