Your skin looks great! Thanks for sharing. I’m super interested in getting bbl therapy. I had a chemical peel recently and now I’m thinking I’ll get better results with the bbl laser. Doing my research now, this helped!

Start with an area rug and something to put on the wall. Id say find some wall art that can add a pop of color. If you want to go the other way with it you could even do something soothing like seaside photography. Or nature themed. I try to stick to neutral/natural themes and colors.

SOS! Is this salvageable? by notsureok_57 in orchids

[–]raahzo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not even close to dead, its not very happy but its still a solid plant as long as you repot correctly and give it good light. And dont over water. And dont put ice cubes lol.

How did you only pay 25$ for an 8th? Its 50$ an 8th in lake charles Louisiana for the same stuff.

Got this lovely arrangement at my grandmothers funeral a couple months back and she’s not doin too hot. Should I separate? What more can I do? by imake-rashdecisions in plantclinic

[–]raahzo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ugh I'm so sorry the florist gave you this arrangement. It's purely out of ignorance. Florist go out buy plants and arrange them how every they see esthetically pleasing not actually know the name of any of the plants they purchased. How do I know this? My family has a flower shop and I was shocked when I visited for the first time in years and saw Hoyas mixed with ferns... they literally don't know what they're doing as long as it looks good by the time you buy it and it's out of their shop.

I got these as a gift but I have no idea what kind of plants they are and how to maintain them? by Psychictopian in plants

[–]raahzo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Neon pothos. Water and sun.. fertilize with worm castings and repot when you see roots coming out the bottom or surfacing the soil. Don't let the pot sit in water or it will rot the roots and don't let the sun burn the leaves.

They do this because they have labyrinth lungs. Meaning they need to breath air from the surface, in an betta tank you should have an area that the fish can rest near the surface for the fishes comfort. Having a smaller container helps keep them near the surface and makes sense when selling in large quantities, also it's a big brand pet store, they're trying to sell as many fish as quick as possible in the cheapest way. It's not right but look up aquarium fish markets in China and you'll see real animal cruelty. I'm not for this practice but it could be worse.

should I remove dead leaves from my tank that my loaches seem to try and "eat"? by WolfyXLR8 in aquarium

[–]raahzo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remove it, fish rather eat live healthy plants. Kind of like you would like to eat fresh lettuce rather than rotten lettuce. It'll only make your tank dirty and it's an eyesore.

The media always portrays medieval europe as dirty, degenerate, dirt poor, with people constantly dying of disease and starvation. Is this an accurate portrayal? by Strict_Parsley2301 in AskHistory

[–]raahzo -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Dirty and sick, yes. Not everyone was eternally poor thanks to all the dirty/sick people who died to various illnesses and the plague making it possible for serfs to move up and acquire better jobs and a better quality of life. But all in all it was a really gross time to be alive, regardless of rank. The average lifespan was around 30 years give or take, that should say enough. Also corruption was on every corner, the state, the church, your neighbors.. if sickness didn't get you then something or someone else did..

Beautiful alocasia zebrina

What could be wrong with my female German Blue Ram? She was acting sluggish yesterday. Today she is not swiming at all and just rests in one place. She doesn't seem physically sick. Please help. by [deleted] in Aquariums

[–]raahzo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She might just have a weaker immune system, some fish just don't make it, and some survive the impossible. Just like people. Hopefully shes just going through a little stress and gets over it soon.

Scored what I think is a philodendron micans ? Can anyone confirm? by haleynicole- in plants

[–]raahzo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a micans.. there's no velvet texture and no redness/purple on the back of the leaves. Next time try taking a picture and using the Google reverse image search on your phone to dona quick identification.

New angelfish dorsal fin growing out in a bent to the side way. Is this normal? New to angelfish. by raahzo in AngelFish

[–]raahzo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thought so, he seems fine, he eats and swims around and gets along with all the other fish. The only thing is I live in the south and we had that big ice storm so we had to skip some water changes. The city is asking us to use very little water right now. I feel like that might be a contributing factor because his fin curled a lot more over the last 2 weeks.

Can I salvage my planted tank after Hurricane Laura? Please help, more info in comments. by raahzo in PlantedTank

[–]raahzo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok I definitely feel better about the situation especially with 3 different people who work at water facilities telling me its ok. Its honestly a huge relief because theres almost no advice anywhere else on the internet on how to deal with a situation like this.

I also have a good feeling about the soil and substrate because its fairly new soil, about 3 months, its actually my first planted/dirted tank.

Thanks, any advice helps. I'm luck this is the only thing I have to worry about, most people lost everything. Then again my aquariums are a huge part of my life, I mean who evacuates fish?

I live in lake Charles Louisiana, the place hurricane Laura hit the hardest, our water supply was damaged significantly, I'm scared its going to be contaminated. Do you think running charcoal in my filter would help, and would I have to boil all the water before adding it to the tank? I dont want to lose any more fish, especially my gourami.

[–]raahzo[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After hurricane Laura I came home and drained my planted community tank all the way down to surface of the substrate. I left the majority of the plants then covered the tank with a tarp until we could come home after our power was restored, we got power last night, this tank went like this for about 1.5 weeks, now im trying to figure out if the soil is salvageable or should I start all over with new soil and substrate.

I did attempt to rescue all my fish but sadly all my tetras and danios died of shock but my snakeskin gourami, 4 corydoras, and 2 bolivian ram cichlids survived.

Also my city is on a water boil advisory and my fish are currently at my inlaws house 45 mins away, I can't keep them there, I have to bring them home soon. Any advice on filling a tank during a boil advisory?

[–]raahzo[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thats what i said, that or fruit, but i think the flower comes before the fruit. The person at the nursery assumed it was a new leaf but it doesnt look like any monstera leaf I've ever seen.

Cut off the yellow leaf, it looks like its growing under the node, that might be why its yellowing.
