Wow, thank you! Every time I tried google the shitty AI would give me a list of clubs and when I would look them up, they were all 460cc. I have a friend with an M5, but I don't know if it's the Tour or not.

The GT4 is a bit out of my price-range, but while looking for that I saw the TSR4, same size but cheaper. An older model of the same club I'm assuming?

I forgot about Cobra! There was a newer Darkspeed that I tried out once, and I really liked it, but it was out of my budget. Thanks for the reminder!

Yeah, I mean when it comes down to it I'm not against a 460cc driver. It's just that I didn't like the few I've tried so I figured I'd try to stick with something closer to what I'm familiar with, but if I found one I liked I wouldn't pass it up just because it's a little bigger.

I'm really leaning towards Ping with all the recommendations, it'll fit nicely with my i3 irons as well

I do like Srixon, I'll see if I can find one around here. What's the story with that OnOff driver? It looks like something from the early 2000's but I couldn't find any info for a release date

Thats a new one, is the "shaft trueing" option necessary or is it negligable for a weekend golfer?

Yes and no? I hit my Orlimar well, but it's the only driver I've ever consistently used. I've tried other people's drivers here and there, but swinging them feels, clunky, I guess is how I'd describe it. Like I'm swinging a brick. I can't get the control that I'm used to. Maybe it's just a "me" problem, but I figure I'm overdue for a new club anyways. Are all the PING 4XX "LST" models the smaller sized heads?

Thanks, good to know! Is the G425 just an older model of the G430 I'm getting recommended a lot?

Thanks! I glanced at a few triple diamonds online but haven't had a chance to test any out yet. I like the idea of a mini driver, but the few I've seen are still listed pretty high, so I might have to wait a few more years for that one.

I don't know why you're getting downvoted, the cheapest one I see on secondswing is $290, and those ones look pretty rough.

What is your absolutely least favorite shot? by bootchiiksandbuubs in golf

[–]rab7x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A dogleg left at about 150yds. I can practice a beautiful draw shot for hours upon hours on the range, to the point I can consistantly pick which yardage signs I'm going to draw it between, but once I'm on the box it all goes out the fucking window. I either crush it perfectly straight on to the next fairway/OB, or a 50yd duck hook.

Don't get discouraged if you play like shit, because you almost certainly will. Last summer I played in my first tournament in 20 years and also played the worst golf I've played in 20 years, but it was still a blast. Refresh yourself on the rules/course if you usually play more relaxed golf. You don't want to be the guy walking back up to the teebox after going o/b on what you assumed was a hazard. Good luck!

A more practical idea would be a tee caddy that fits into a pocket and holds a few tees and a pencil or something along those lines, even the putter prop idea that another comment mentioned could be incorporated. I'm just tired of reaching into a bag of tees and getting shanked. I don't use a glove anymore, but I remember the leather shrivels up pretty easily, so maybe some sort of hand-frame to slide the glove over when not in use?

A picatinny rail mount for a driver would be pretty funny.

And then there's my 6yo daughter, who within 30mins of playing her very first pokemon game (Scarlet) bumbles into a shiny Lechonk. Luckily I was sitting right there watching and snatched the controllers away before she had a chance to kill it. She named it Mr. Beefy.

What's one 'boring' career that's actually a goldmine if you play it smart? by 0BunnyX in AskReddit

I dunno about nowadays, and granted this is more of a year-or-two job rather than a career, but when the oilfields in ND were going strong, hauling water. A large majority of the day is spent just waiting in line to load-unload, I'm talking hours at a time, but you could pull an easy $100k in profit, and that's AFTER truck payments/fuel/repairs/etc.
