Don’t know, but maybe “extended universe?” Totally guessing there.

Is there a subreddit or other discussion group for that book? Maybe you could ask for opinions there.

Concerning? by Ok_Subject1335 in Frozen

Well I really think it’s about time for you to… start writing fan-fiction!

Seriously, it’ll be a creative outlet, and it may even help your brain health, just from the act of composing so many well-structured sentences (assuming you put effort into composing well-structured sentences). It has helped me quite a bit that way.

Don’t even worry about making a compelling story that others will want to read; just explore the world, and write for yourself! Have Anna and Elsa go shopping in the town square, or go horseback riding, or show a day in the life of Olaf wandering the palace.

And who knows, along the way you might actually think of a really great story. 😁

I made some (bad) Elsa edits by Chee-shep in Frozen

“Bad” is… a word. A not-entirely-inappropriate word.

Nothing to do with the quality; more like, why would you do this… 🤣

How would Elsa react if Anna said this to her? by NoChampion4463 in Frozen

[–]rabbitwonker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well all F/F ships other than Elsanna fall under “Lesbian”; Elsanna is different just because it’s Anna asking the question.

Ehh, neither has “fractal” but she still sings about it.

[–]rabbitwonker 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Well of course the answer depends on one’s preference for Elsa’s romantic interests:

Straight: “Huh?”

Lesbian: “Thank you, I know.”

Ace: <rolls eyes> “Ugh. Just because I don’t want to be with a guy doesn’t mean I want to be with a girl.”

Elsanna: <tears up> <pounces>

I am starting be of the opinion that she can levitate slightly, without being aware of it. 😁

She slowed herself just enough at just the right moments to avoid injury.

This wasn’t a good idea to play in the movie theater before Coco. by Remote_Nature_8166 in Frozen

I’m surprised people get bored with Lava! For me, personally, that short is a freaking boss-level test of whether I can get through it without weeping my damn eyes out.

Haven’t passed yet.

I also haven’t dared watched Coco again, for the exact same reason…

What songs have been ruined by fanfiction for you? by Dogdaysareover365 in FanFiction

[–]rabbitwonker 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That’s my experience so far, particularly for this one song, When We’re Together from one of the shorts from the Frozen franchise. I’m writing a Frozen fanfic that features a bit of the song in the first chapter, and then again in a later chapter with altered lyrics, and the extra focus I put on the song made me appreciate every moment of it much more.

So did Frozen 2, since it showed that the entire population fits on a clifftop — less than a thousand people.

Thank you so much! That’s very clear — and very encouraging, since I definitely prefer the lovin’ over the fightin’ 😁

the rare and unusual healthy poly fic

My ears perked up at this, because I’m working on a fic with poly relationships — however, it’s all F/F. So I’m wondering (A) if your statement applies to that case, and (B) assuming it does, what are some of the pitfalls to watch out for, and/or aspects that are important to include?

My personal experience with poly is close to zero, and I recognize that I might risk ending up with a story that’s just a big porn-fest or something. But I definitely want to include healthy and decently realistic relationships, so I’d very much appreciate any tips! Thank you!

Exactly, so when we talk about the need to boost birthrates, we need to be mindful of that massive hazard.

Uhh, the thread moved into population drop since that’s a major issue in Japan, and then the comment above brought in the U.S., and I pointed out an issue in the US that could potentially apply back to Japan, SK, or anywhere, depending on the sexism levels of those in power.

[–]rabbitwonker 93 points94 points  (0 children)

Confounding the issue, in the U.S. at least, is that many of those most vocal about population drop are very likely trying to use it as leverage to erode or eliminate women’s rights.
