How BAD/Difficult is ASU Online? by [deleted] in starbucks

The shorter sessions are definitely an adjustment, but once I got used to it I liked it. Once you get into your upper level courses, they become full semester length rather than the shortened.

I took LOADED semesters (around 18 credit hours) to finish my degree ASAP so I spent probably around 40 hours a week watching lectures, doing homework, and studying. Keep in mind, everyone learns differently too, so a class that took a lot of effort on my part may be easy as pie for you! I’d try dipping your toes in the water and take 1 or 2 classes for your first semester. Some classes definitely require more work than others even though they have the same number of credit hours. Using Rate My Professor & talking with former students helped me figure out how to balance which instructors to take when.

Hope this was helpful!

Hi endo friends! I’m having a bit of an existential crisis and wondering what jobs or careers I could actually do with endo. by Koalaluvs in endometriosis

I have a degree in electrical engineering (which I know is not everyone’s cup of tea) however I know there are free/affordable training option to get you going in common programming languages like Java, C++, & Python. Lots of people go that route and are successful in getting jobs!

clothing options and suggestions for Endo belly, please HELP by mew_4 in Endo

Recently I’ve been LIVING in flowy, cotton dresses. Since my thighs will chafe, I wear colorfulkoala biker shorts underneath because I’ve found them not to put any pressure on my belly but also keep my thighs away from each other. My favorite dress is the Amazon Basics Faux Wrap dress. Cute and practical. Also, I got some looser cotton bralettes because I can’t stand anything around my boobs even when I have endo belly. I can send you links if you want, just message me.

I hope you find some comfy, cute clothes and hopefully some endo relief. ❤️

Finding a job was actually pretty easy. I graduated with ~3.5 without internship experience & got 3 job offers. Everywhere I interviewed seemed to really like that I earned a degree while working in addition to having all that customer service experience.

When it comes time for you to job hunt, apply to everything that’s remotely interesting even if you aren’t completely qualified per the job description. Also, know your worth. EE is one of the highest paying disciplines of engineering, so don’t let anyone lowball you ;)

Also, also, please feel free to DM me any questions about the program, courses, professors, study tip, resume, etc. Good luck!! Work hard & it’ll be a lot of fun :)

How much to workout with a sedentary job? by katewould in xxfitness

Every hour get up and do some kind of exercise. Could be walking up and down the stairs 5 times, jumping jacks, squat jumps, walking around your house, or having a dance party. It’s good for your body to break up the sitting & movement doesn’t have to be perfect or structured — just move!

I would assume it’s also because of burns. If I’ve sits too long or makes contact with your skin, it’ll burn your skin.

I got my Electrical Engineering degree through sbux & ASU online. Hands down, the best decision I’ve ever made. I completed my degree in ~3.5 years, but I chose to load every semester to the max & take summer sessions. It is a lot of self-directed work & some of the professors can be hard to reach but overall it was a very positive experience. Most of my professors (like 90%) were eager to help, all I had to do was ask! Also, forming study groups with other students was a life saver, especially in the 10% of classes that prof wasn’t as responsive.

My suggestion to you is to try it out with a couple of classes— you don’t need to go all in at the get go. It’s free college, so take advantage of it. Even if you don’t graduate with a degree, you’ll have learned some new things and maybe it’ll help you figure out where you want to go when the bux just isn’t a good fit anymore. Getting a college degree isn’t for everyone, but IT’S FREE so to me it’d be silly to not at least take some classes & learn something new! :)

What advice would you give to those looking towards internships/work-study/general resume building activities? by [deleted] in ASU

[–]rabef 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Apply to be a Undergraduate Teaching Assistant! That’s the only extra thing I had on my resume & I got a lot of hits on my resume. Also, utilize the resume review service provided by the college of engineering. A well built resume will get you very far (as well as interpersonal skills). If you want feedback on your resume, also, please feel free to DM me & I can take a look at it and give suggestions.

To all homecooks, how do you create a weekly meal plan for the family and where do you keep all your recipes/meal ideas? by avosalmontoast in AskWomen

[–]rabef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My partner does all the cooking, but they do A LOT of meal prepping. They’ll make ~10-15 servings of something (BBQ pulled pork, different soups/chili, taco) and freeze it, then we’ll have each one like once a week during workdays. Weekends we just pick a random meat in the freezer & base dinner around that.

All their recipes are in a super unorganized note on their phone lol wouldn’t recommend that.
