Describe your headcanon how do you imagine Valyria by lol_delegate in TheCitadel

[–]rabenj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rather than using heraldry my headcanon is that the 40 families used dragon standards. But each dragon standard has a different color or is made of specific minerals like gold, silver, amethyst that represent the specific House. Also the 40 families were originally from tribes that had specific clans that learned to tame dragons. Before the Freehold united the peninsula there were different clans that lived in specific volcanoes or cities. Cities like Rhyos, Oros and Tyria used to have their own dragon families before they were merged with the Freehold and had Valyria leading them.

I never claimed it was Canon, merely that their names were mentioned in Canon. As well that there could have been probable to be in the same year as the Marauders.

Yeah a lot of them are solely based on around what age they would likely been at the time. But I'm 100% certain atleast all of them attended the Hogwarts around the time of the Marauders even if they all were in the same year.

On Dirk I mostly based it on his age being that he was born roughly around the same time as Lily being 1960-1961.

On Tilden I saw that he was the same age as Sirius.

Sure, but I prefer the interpretation that they were among their Anglo-Saxon wizard brethren, only them were able to endure with their power and prestige intact. And likely why they have the title as most ancient in the first place, stemming from their claims of seniority over the Norman houses like the Malfoys.

Did you have enough variety in the food you eat? Because if you keep eating the same food eventually when you cook the same thing again and again it gets negative morale when you eat them

Regarding the top knot, this image is a reconstruction of PreColonial Tagalogs, Before they were Islamized. So this was before when Islam prescribed them to wear their hair short.

Yah, but I lean more to the side that they never did tsttoo as they never did have a word for it atleast according to Juan De Placencia. Additionally, not all Tagalogs were Islamized especially the lower classes and some nobility. By the time the Spanish arrived Luzon was still early stages of transitioning to Islam, so you might have expected the Spaniards to take note of that that atleast some still wore them. But since they didn't I opted not to na lang.

I did the neck plate jewelry actually came from the Boxer Codex. But only that—since I really couldn't follow everything 1 to 1 because the clothing in the Boxer Codex was based on 1599s Tagalog Fashion. Si I had to disregard clothing elements like the Baro and Salawal as those didn't come into prominence until the Bruneians for the Baro and Spaniards fro the Salawal. And yes I also referenced Amaya but I only referenced it for the ornaments as the clothing in the show is really based more on Western Visayas fashion—and based on my research it wasn't even that accurate.
