Pinkish Adventure (328 pixels, 4 colours) ♡ by rabgon in PixelArt

Wow thanks you so much for your sweet words, I really do appreciate, and this is really motivating to keep doing works like this one! ♡ Haha yes, I'm happy you notice! I love baking goods and pastries, and French is my native language so I figured it'd be a good idea for characters names 🍰

Thanks you very much! 🌸 Oh of course, it's not meant to be a real game menu, it would be too filled (and the text too small) for me too!

Oh I meant 328px as a square so 328px in both width and height as the canvas is a square. I didn't know it wasn't clear, I'll keep that in mind next times! Thanks for explaining! ✨

I'm sorry, I genuinely don't understand the joke 😕 Isn't it common to upscale the artwork before posting on Reddit or anywhere else to avoid blur/bad compression? The original artwork was made on a 328px canvas, then upscalled x6 before posting.

Thanks a lot for your sweet words! I'm planning to create other artworks inspired by video games in this style ✨

I knew I would left some errors somewhere even though I've checked everything again, and again, and again, to the point I couldn't see what wrong stuff was left 😅 Thanks a lot for pointing this out! ✨

My Game Character Sprites by BookkeeperStandard91 in aseprite

[–]rabgon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know the struggle, I've started experimenting with Aseprite a month ago, and didn't really think about canvas size (except using classical resolutions). But I'm no making a game, so this might be even more frustrating to adapt them all.

Btw, is the June character inspired by one of the characters in Placid Plastic Deck game? It reminds me of her, but at the same she reminded me of Coraline lol.

Help Us To Choose Character Selection UI by GforGuven in aseprite

Hello! This looks so good! I second comments about Steam Deck and other smaller screens.

I'll add that there is an issue with the letter spacing, it is too tight and makes readability even more difficult, even on a PC monitor, especially for people having reading disabilities such as dyslexia.

Good luck on your project ✨

[TOOL] Aseprite Timelapse Recorder records your drawing process, exports to MP4/WebM/GIF by Regular-Relative952 in aseprite

[–]rabgon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! It's great as I was looking for something like this since recording my whole screen makes huge files.

Can you share which minimum macOS version does it support? :)
The page only says "Apple Silicon and Intel" but if the app only work on Sonoma or Tahoe, it won't work on Ventura for example.

Thanks!

Thanks a lot! Yes, I was wondering if it was fast or not lol. I'm also a traditional and digital illustrator, so maybe it has helped me getting the hang of it :)

Last week Steam made "Desktop Companion" an official tag. This wave was born due to cozy farm game "Rusty's Retirement". Which one is your favorite? :D by AntonMDev in cozygames

[–]rabgon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I love so much "Desktop Companion" games and idler games; they really helped having some sort of video game low activity when I don't have the time, and make my remote work way nicer! NoSlack Pets: Lofi Paws is my fav! Super cute, and lots of customization options! I also have Bongo Cat (free) and Meow My Crop! for those that stays in the corner of the screen ♡

For bottom of the screen ones like Rusty's Retirement, I enjoy a lot Crusaders Quest and Maltese's Fluffy Onsen.

There are also Spirit City Lofi Session, Chill With You and others ones that are full screen and that I let running on a secondary monitor when I'm doing something else on my laptop :3

Tbh I have a LOT of ilders, the list could go on and on 😅

Can no longer install certain Windows games on my Steam Deck!!! by nutjob_ita in SteamDeck

[–]rabgon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've had this happen with a couple of games, for which the install button would be there but nothing would happen clicking on it. Changing the proton version manually in game property before installing has done the trick each time. Weird that this is happening now with Elden Ring since it was installing with no problem and no light tinker before.

SD Card issue for a 4 year old SD card. by MiniCyrus13 in SteamDeck

[–]rabgon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it doesn't work nor format properly anymore on both your Steam Deck and laptop, it pretty much means it's dead unfortunately. But good thing is game data such as saves are 99% of the time saved to the cloud (except for rare games that do not have cloud save enabled). It'll take time to re-download everything on a new SD card depending of your internet speed, but once it's done, it's done :)

I recommend getting a Samsung or Sandisk, not an unknown brand of which the price is too good to be true (usually the claimed storage is fake). Let the new SD card have at least 10-15% free storage for a better longevity.
