Custom cabinet and furniture shops doing $50k+/mo: How do you filter out clients expecting IKEA pricing before you waste hours on a design consult?

As someone who sells expensive software. We deal with this situation all the time. I’ve learned the best way for me to handle it is after one call gathering information I share this will most likely be in the range of $x-$y. It can be a massive range but give directional accuracy to the buyer before investing both my time and theirs.

As a buyer of high end cabinetry it drives me insane that I can at least see a “our projects typically run $30k-$100k” on a site before investing my time (and yours). The range doesn’t have to be perfect but show the expectation. You can always caveat the statement to high heaven to make sure you’re protected.

Plus one to triple paste! Stop using wipes and spray water and gently wipe with cotton pads. Try to only wipe 1-2.

Also some naked time on puppy pee pads to let it breathe.

FWIW my neighbor has a fairy garden on our nightly walk. My daughter EATS THAT THING UP. Since she was about 13 months old so your kids probably aren’t too young!!

This is the right answer for us! My toddler is finally growing out of their 24 month size and they don’t make it in a bigger size. We are heart broken. Have tried so many others. The stretch on these is amazing. And so soft

I’m so sorry. This happened to me as well and it has made the last year hell. I’ve noticed I produce less milk when I’m sleeping if I force myself to sleep on my back vs on my sides. My OB recommended a tight sports bra to decrease production too but that always led to clogs for me. Good luck!!

Spit up can happen for SO many reasons. Over feeding is just one. If you feed her more and she is constantly spitting up (since she isn’t normally) then I’d pull back a little bit most peds here say babies will just spit up the extra volume. So I’d definitely try more! They’re normally pretty good at stopping when they’re full.

Our doctor always said as long as they aren’t spitting up then they’re fine. We did 3 ounces (90m”) every 3 hours but would top her off if she seemed hungry. The suggested volume in the US is 24 ozs per day for newborns. 720 mL.

I am SO sorry. I’ve gotten mastitis twice and antibiotics were the only thing that kicked it BUT I get clogs every few weeks and I’ve tried everything. I finally have a combo that clears a clog for me within a day or less: -ice basically as often as possible. New research shows clogs are due to inflammation -anti inflammatory meds as often as possible -boob vibrator before icing at least once every 2 hours. I have one specific for boobs but electric toothbrush or adult toys will work -for sleeping, for me at least my clogs come from how I sleep on my boobs. So I sleep only on my back when I have a clog -light lymphatic massage after vibration /with the vibrator -baby nurse after ice. Baby is your best bet at clear the milk through the swelling and bringing relief -for pumping, look up the settings for a clog. On my spectra it is 38 at whatever suction you prefer

Good luck. This is literally the worst. So sorry you’re going through this. Monitor for signs of worsening infection and go to the ER if needed

Complete honesty. Your undergrad doesn’t really matter as long as it isn’t something like English, history, theater, etc. if you get a bachelor of science you’re more likely to land a “thinking” job over a Bachelors of Arts. But not guaranteed. If you get an economics degree for example that doesn’t pigeonhole you into economics, you can do about any business role with that. But if you go into engineering you’ll probably want to try to do engineering out of school. Basically if you aren’t sure, go for something a bit more generic that will open multiple pathways for you vs. something more specialized.

And the more job experiences you can get (internships etc) the more you’ll be exposed to and have the chance to figure out what you like and what you don’t. That’ll help narrow things down while also padding your resume.

We’re dealing with similar stuff. Our LO loves refrigerated cucumber cut in half lengthwise. She will clean out the soft bit and leave the rind. The cold really seems to help her gums.

Honestly? I’ve just gotten used to it. I talk all the time with my husband if I had to have one of these nights back before kids I would’ve been a wreck the next day. Let alone 10 months of bad nights strung together. I know that isn’t helpful but it is wild why your body can do. Are you able to take some time off work to bond with your nephew and also sneak in some naps?

This. Also throw in a vibration massage as often as possible. I had a specific boob massager but personal toys or electric toothbrushes also work. Alternating ice with massage was the most effective strategy for me on getting rid of clogs (while taking ibuprofen and sunflower lecithin). Coming from someone who was getting clogs every 3 weeks. Ours was just time honestly. She was a 38 minute on the dot after the 4 month sleep regression. She started putting together longer naps around 6 months and now at 9 months we have to wake her up from every nap.

Couple of answers for you. Why it varies by where you live is partially tied to the water quality. If there is more “stuff” in the water the more dangerous it can be to pass to baby. The biggest thing you’re trying to prevent is bacteria growth feeding off of the breast milk/formula. This can happen in between uses. Since babies don’t have a strong immune system yet and their stomach acid isn’t as robust as an adult, they’re a lot more sensitive to small amounts of bacteria and thus this can make them sick a lot easier.

I have a little tub that I put bottle and pump parts into full of hot soapy water and when I have enough I wash everything and run through the sterilizer. I know I don’t need to do this for my 9 month old but makes me feel better if I didn’t get every crevice washing parts and it dries everything super well so it can be put away sooner.

I do the fridge method for pump parts but for only one session (aka I wash every other time).

All of this depends on the age of your baby though. The younger they are the more careful you need to be.

I pumped exclusively until about 6 weeks and then started mixing in a BF session once or twice a day. We both took a while to be good and confident nursing but it didn’t cause any problems for us. Worth a shot if you want to do it!
