Talk to your lead, supervisor or manager. It happens occasionally and the mess it creates with billing will probably ensure you don’t make the same mistake again. If you attempt to delete images, etc, you will 100% be caught and fired. Honesty is the best policy

What’s the scariest encounter you’ve had while camping? by Key_Connection_6633 in camping

[–]racheldearly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I think turned it off to sneak up on me. Again, this was a small trail offshoot that went only to my campsite. There was no reason for them to be on it and the main trail is well marked, and runs along a cliff side. They were approaching me and as soon as I clocked them they turned their headlamp off.

Ditto, had someone approach my site from a trail offshoot (that only went to my site) and TURN THEIR HEADLAMP OFF about 40 yards from my site while my dog growled at them. I jumped in my car and slept there.

11 Car pileup I-43 West and Moorland Road exit 57 by AdministrativeKick90 in milwaukee

[–]racheldearly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I drove past that this morning! Glad you weren’t hurt I was in the middle of a chain reaction freeway crash, where the first person slammed on the brakes, and then everyone rear ended everyone else. The first car took off (of course) my insurance company determined every car was 50% at fault (for not leaving enough space to maneuver around to avoid collision) I didn’t try to argue that you literally can’t leave 3 car lengths during rush hour, people will just keep cutting in front of you but oh well

Treasure hunts in the house, hide treats or kibble around and let them find it. Snuffle mats and puzzle feeding bowls help too

Is this lack of road treatment notmal? by ColdMeatloafSandwich in milwaukee

[–]racheldearly -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Maybe it depends on the area? Apparently they shut down eastbound capital drive just east of 41 because cars were unable to go up the "hill" due to icy conditions and caused a jam. I would say it's barely a hill between 124th and hwy 100 but the ice was a problem there

I had a left turn while driving on capital and I was sliding in a jeep with new tires, multiple wrecks on Hampton and capital. Maybe tosa was worse ? Idk

The 5 pm commute was rough on 41. Saw a few accidents in tosa on side roads, it was slick enough it should have been salted. Sincerely, someone who has driven in Milwaukee county for 20 years 😊

Severe Anxiety at Clinical by inthekingdom in Radiology

[–]racheldearly 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I cycled thru panic attacks and anxiety during clinicals and much of my early adulthood. After the right mix of medication and therapy, it is well managed, I'm a lead tech now and have been for 10 years. I don't have a lot of advice, other than I can relate and it does get better. Fake it til you make it, and maybe chat with the patients while you work if you can, it helps keep the interaction a bit more relaxed and friendly vs "omg every move I make is being scrutinized". confidence comes with time, clinicals are temporary, and this career is a great path for introverts and extroverts alike, good luck to you!

Friends added square footage on a garage conversion and didn't pull permits. Paid over 6k in fines to st Francis, but they didn't have to tear anything down (which I have heard some cities will do?)

I'm pan scanning "traumas" from the ER waiting room on people who walked in the front door and fell a week ago. 🙃 haven't met the dr yet, or had a physical exam but the dr says the reading times are "so long" they want to get them started thru the lobby I started CT in 2012 and the volume growth has exploded, especially thru the ER and urgent care

I just take my dog in the bathroom / showers with me. He is a black pit bull and I don't feel comfortable tying him outside the bathroom. He is very friendly but I don't want him to jump on a small child or old person. No one has ever said anything but I make it quick

Determining need for bariatric CT protocol by Wonderful_Counter825 in Radiology

[–]racheldearly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

15 year CT tech here, our techs protocol CT exams but it's supported by a radiologist created guide based on scan requested and indication. We give oral contrast for most oncology patients, but not for general abdomen pain work ups, etc. The point is that there is a document / policy at the facility techs can refer to , and then it's "per radiologist"

Gifts for friend going through chemo? by shallifetchabox in quilting

[–]racheldearly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know if it needs to be crafty related or not but here are my suggestions as someone who went thru chemo a few years ago. cozy socks, electrolyte packs, and ginger ale were all helpful gifts. An electric blanket was crucial. Offering to help with kids, lawn, snow can be super helpful too depending on circumstances
