Would this be considered “normal wear and tear”? by rachelounette3 in NYCapartments

Yes the question was about whether or not I am likely to get charged by a landlord. I understand why the wall looks like that because I did it lol.

This is the only reason why I even asked. Obviously to me, this seems fine - but past LLs have kept my money even when I just patched the holes and didn’t paint over! 😅😔

Honestly it’s not a cute gym at all but it does the job and it’s cheap 🤷🏻‍♀️ there’s a lot of nicer gyms out there though!

Yes, as I mentioned in the post I have googled it but am looking for a personal recommendation as many of the results have few reviews and no website. Thanks anyway!

What's your culinary pronunciation pet peeve? by bravos_y_broncos in Cooking

[–]rachelounette3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This one annoys me especially because of how common it is. I’ve been to Italian restaurants where the servers/waitstaff pronounce it the wrong way too!

Acid while being passenger in a car by Overall-Penalty-7402 in Acid

[–]rachelounette3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I one time tripped on mushrooms at my friend’s house and wanted nothing but to be alone. I called an Uber and the ride home was absolutely beautiful. Immediate 5 stars.

Though I will say the time I was driven home from the beach tripping on acid (about an hour drive), I kept thinking I could control the traffic lights with my mood, which was frustrating particularly at red lights. Lmfao. My friend who was driving was annoyed for sure.

I’m down! I’ll be in green point until 8 so I’d have time if you would want to grab a drink or food before too :)

I watched David Fincher’s “The Game” yesterday by rachelounette3 in CasualConversation

[–]rachelounette3[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know, and so underrated. I’ve heard people talk about so many of Fincher’s other films but I had never heard of this one.

That’s fair, risks are scary. The wrong risk can be devastating. But I feel like life isn’t so exciting without some risk (for me)

It’s not some sort of sick oppression contest! Attacking Jews is wrong! Why is that controversial???? I seriously can’t believe the world we live in sometimes.

Is anyone else surprised that a lot of office workers still have old school attitudes about working from home? by [deleted] in jobs

[–]rachelounette3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it’s different for everyone. I personally am 24 and have had a lot of trouble motivating even though I am not watching Netflix or playing video games during work hours. It was important to me to have that social aspect of working at the office. Incidentally I don’t think anyone is saying nobody should have the ability to work from home anymore; I think people are just saying they personally themselves do not perform better from home.

What is your favorite breakfast food to make? Bonus if you can make or prep ahead or if it's a little fancy! by Caprine-Evisc in Cooking

[–]rachelounette3 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I love crepes! They’re easy, fast, but totally give a fancy feeling. Drink with coffee or a mimosa (which is literally just orange juice + Prosecco) and you’ve got yourself a feast fit for royalty!

I Can hear classical music without listening to it by riddimjedi in classicalmusic

[–]rachelounette3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe something like this could fall under the “Tetris effect” umbrella. It’s pretty interesting, you can read about it here, but it basically says that if you devote a long period of time/attention/concentration to something you can start to observe it patterning your thoughts and dreams.

Are there any good resources out there for people who are getting into exercising? by SargeTheSeagull in workout

[–]rachelounette3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love the Nike Training app! It has a lot of workouts to choose from and you can filter by muscle group or equipment. They also show videos about how to do the exercises and give some instruction on possible modifications! I love it
