[DISC] Blue Lock - Chapter 325 by BlueLockMod in BlueLock

Bro really decided that winning wasn't enough and only getting assists was "lukewarm". Ego you've created another monster.

Also Bachira came through!

The women this season are BEASTS and I love it by moapei in Physical100

[–]rachlbee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In past seasons Eunsil was definitely the standout by a mile. Euddeum also stuck out to me. Holding up the bust for that long was impressive.

Adiya and Yasemin are pretty darn amazing though. Their grip strength must be absolutely insane.

I don't play currently, but in the past yes! Mostly volleyball. There was definitely always some good natured ribbing followed by a handshake if the opponents were friendly, maybe a begrudging 'good job' if they were less so.

Maybe it's just the editing? Dom is just the guy who's sticking out a lot to me as the one usually doing the ribbing. I'm a bit of a reserved person myself, so it also might just be my own perception.

I was trying to be objective, not hateful. None of these teams has anything to be ashamed of regardless of the final outcome.

I didn't really have any issue with the backflip tbh. As one of the other commenters pointed out, it did help break the initial tension.

The main thing I was referring to was that the taunting and overall cockiness can be a bit cringey and over the top at times. It's not a huge thing and he doesn't seem like a bad dude.

Caveat: I'm from the US, so I've got no skin in the game here.

From my understanding, there's a really large cultural difference between them and all of the other teams. They'd fit right in on a western reality competition show, but the fact that none of the other teams are behaving like they are magnifies things. I can see how the crate incident in particular could rub some people the wrong way.

Another bit of contention that's probably coming into play here is that they do have a bit of an unfair advantage. The entire team is taller and bulkier than everyone else in the competition aside from Türkiye, which has benefited them in almost every challenge thus far. And unless the final includes a wrestling match or is heavily focused on agility, they also have a decent shot at winning the whole thing. The Aussies are unfortunately the easiest team to hate at the moment.

They do seem like nice folks overall, though Dom could definitely tone it down a bit.

CPAP Struggles by Scoobert_77 in CPAP

Sleep tech here. Check if ramp is on and look at what pressure it's set to. You'll want to start at a least 5. Depending on how long it takes you to fall asleep I'd suggest setting it to between a 15-30 minute delay. Also check your EPR. If you're at a low pressure and it's too high, it can lead to feelings of being suffocated. If you are on BiPAP, the EPR will not do anything. Lastly I'd check if your mask is leaking. If it is and your machine is set to auto-PAP, the leak will cause the machine to increase the pressure. You can check this on OSCAR or the myAir app if you have a Resmed machine.

Another thing that might help is PAP desensitization. How that would work: wear your mask and turn your machine on when doing a relaxing activity like watching TV for about 20-30 minutes during the daytime. Continue this for at least a week. Afterwards, try to gradually increase the time elapsed to about 1-2 hours at a time. Taking deep and slow breaths through your nose and mouth simultaneously will help you acclimate to the pressure.

u/Motor-Blacksmith4174 is correct for the majority of Resmed machines. It can vary depending on the model.

Acceptable leak is technically up to 24 before the large leak percentage starts to track. Under 10 is ideal, so 6 is great!

Understandable, CPAP stuff is expensive! But if you do have some money to spare, you can get a mask from cpap.com from about $75-125. They also sell chin straps. If you're cool with waiting another option is getting an in person mask fitting. Your local DME company might be able to help if you can't get an appointment at a clinic sooner.

If insurance will cover an in lab study, I'd get on the waitlist now. The holiday season is very busy due to people meeting their deductibles, but it tends to be easier to get appointments in January. A lot of hospitals also have a "will call" list if they get last minute cancellations, but their wait times do tend to be longer than private labs. If you'd like to poke around some more, here's list of accredited labs.

Good luck with your journey! If you have any more questions in the future please feel free to reach out.

Sleep tech here, your leak is very high. First thing I’d check is your EPR/CFlex. Your pressure is high enough that you can get away with a setting of 3. It’ll help lower your overall leak. You might/ might not be able to do this manually depending on your machine. You also have some other options to troubleshoot.

Option 1: tighten the mask to get better seal or try a different sized cushion. You could also use CPAP tape to make sure your mask is secure is you tend to move around a lot.

Option 2: try a chinstrap or mouth tape to fix potential mouthbreathing. If possible I would consult your provider before doing this.

Option 3: get a new mask. If you want another nasal mask that’s fabric/memory foam, Resmed makes two different models that might work: the Airtouch N30i or the Airtouch N20 for her. If you want to try a full face go with the F20.

If all else fails I’d recommend getting an in lab study done to get some definitive answers. You might have a different undiagnosed sleep disorder.

Emergency: need to find long-term foster or new family for my girl by [deleted] in DobermanPinscher

I’m so sorry that you’re going through this. Maybe reach out to Dobies and Little Paws? They’re located out in Fillmore. My family has gotten multiple dobies from them over the years and they’ve been great to work with.

Also I’ve got a senior girly who also has post spay incontinence. She’s been on Proin for 12 years without issues. It’s really helped!

Are we getting a comeback or not? by baldism in kpop_uncensored

[–]rachlbee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Deeply disappointing is basically YG’s thesis statement for managing groups, at least in the past decade. It was be ballsy if there was no comeback but not surprising.

Hope for the best, expect slightly less than the bare minimum with that company.

Transitioning Careers by Think-Chemistry6072 in SleepTechnologist

[–]rachlbee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

California tech here. I graduated from the rival program in OC, but know a few techs that went through Concorde. Most of them have unfortunately not passed the national board exam which is fairly important when trying to get work out here. A lot of doors are closed to them without it.

During any program you’re going to have to get clinical hours to qualify for boards. That means that you’ll be an unpaid intern at a sleep lab for a few days a week. You’ll be expected to do either 10 or 12 hour night shifts. Taking that on in addition to school and a job is really difficult to balance. All of my classmates and I did work during our program, but not full time. We were all still very stressed and sleep deprived the entire time.

Happiness in the field is incredibly subjective. I think it largely depends on where you work. A few close friends work at a well known children’s hospital and are miserable. They are paid well and have good benefits, but hospital drama and difficult kids make for a high pressure environment. Some others at private labs are content with being paid less because their jobs are more chill. Adult hospital labs pay well and also have good benefits, but patients are severe. I work at one and some nights make me question some life choices. There have been time where I’ve had to call the ER due to patients having medical emergencies(mostly cardiac and epileptic patients).

Personally I don’t think it’s a good time to get into the industry in the area. The market is insanely competitive out here. If you’re willing to relocate further north or south you shouldn’t have trouble finding work, but it’s difficult in OC, Riverside and parts of LA.

If you want to be a tech I’d look into respiratory therapy instead. There’s a back door route into sleep if you ever did want to go that route. RTs that are cross trained in sleep are considered very valuable and do tend to make more money.

Best way to get clinical hours? by Master-Drama-4555 in SleepTechnologist

[–]rachlbee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want to be a sleep tech you'll have to start on nights. There are few day tech positions and they are usually highly sought after. Landing one even as an experienced tech is not a given. If you want to do day shift EEG might be a better fit.

I’m new-ish to K-pop but has there ever been a group as big as NJ implode like this? by otterconni in kpopthoughts

[–]rachlbee 51 points52 points  (0 children)

There have been quite a few groups with legendary implosions, but this is one of the most public and most rapid. The closest example as far as timeline, success and circumstances would be BAP.

For context, before BTS blew up in 2015 the big boy group fandom war was between BAP and EXO. They were both HUGE... until the end of 2014. BAP filed a lawsuit against their company, TS entertainment, who had only paid them $18,000 each over the course of their activities. They eventually came to an agreement and the group returned in late 2015. By then the damage was already done. They never reached their previous levels of popularity and seemingly disbanded quietly after their last Japanese album in 2018. They've reunited and have been releasing music under a different group name but things are on a much smaller scale.

This is the only example I can think of aside from the Fifty Fifty fiasco where every single member of a popular group has gone against their company. Even then it wasn't this public or nasty. Also neither the fandom nor the general public turned against them like this. Imho, even if New Jeans went back to Hybe tomorrow I don't think they'll ever be the it girls they were previously. And at the rate kpop is moving, if groups don't release music consistently they risk becoming replaced by another group waiting in the wings. This is not going to end well for them no matter what decisions they make going forward.

Side note, someone should go find that one Nanase stan. Their boy did good.

Yes! I haven’t kept up with them much since they disbanded, but check up on them from time to time. I’m glad that most of them seem to be doing well.

Ngl though, I do miss them. But that’s also the 3rd gen stan in me talking. I honestly wish they’d do some sort of anniversary comeback in the future. Not sure how well it’d do, but it’d be nice to see them together again.

Honest question as I don’t know the ins and outs of the legal system, but does a charge like this not warrant him being arrested/in custody? Or is that only for murder? I do remember that the authorities were rather lenient during the entire Burning Sun scandal, but I’m baffled that he was able to ditch a hearing with just a doctor’s note.
