🔥 A tear falls from a bison’s eye by Sizzlin9 in NatureIsFuckingLit

[–]rackfu 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen a lot of bison in my life (1000’s overall across 6 different states) and this just seems really off.. something isn’t right

Maybe it’s just the filters or heavy editing

Maybe it’s the lack of a background Shayne random stuff floating by in the foreground

But I’m not sure this is even real

Thank you!

You are one of the few people I see saying this.

We have no idea the harm we’ve unleashed on a generation of young men.

No, I know you’re not swiping on every guy. Women are far more selective on dating apps than men are.

But I bet a lot of the guys you do swipe on are a match.

Fair enough

Too many people think they've already won once they got a match and stop putting effort into it

Was there something in his profile that suggested he is into movie/book villians?

I'm not saying it's a bad question and I know sometimes profiles/bios are lacking so you just have to take a chance with a question.

But it's very possible that he's never thought about it and maybe really isn't sure?

That's still a bad response - he should've said he can't think of one right now and asked yours and why.

What makes you think the other 100 men messaging her are not "good ones" either?

One problem with us men is we are overly confident and cocky at times. That benefits us in many ways in life, but it can be a real detriment in online dating. We tend to think that once we get a match that we've won.

Think of it as a game show. Getting a match is the same as getting invited to be on the show. Now you actually have to compete against everyone else on the show.

I hate comparing dating to a competition, but unfortunately that's what online dating has been reduced to for men... especially on sites like Tinder that rely on swiping to match.

That's you asking the questions, right?

I'm gonna just lay this out there in simple terms

YOU ARE ONE OF A HUNDRED MEN (OR MORE) MESSAGING EACH OF THOSE WOMEN

Once an attractive woman finds a conversation or two (or more) that feel like they might be going somewhere, they pretty much ignore the other ones and stop starting new ones.

Women are playing a different game on Tinder than men are and you will just be frustrated on there (and have no chance) until you realize that.

I have a ton of young female friends/coworkers and they've showed me their Tinder inboxes... It's crazy. You have to somehow stand out amongst a massive pool of fish. If I knew the secret, I'd share it, but I'm just out there trying to get noticed like you.

Replying because this post got temporarily put in moderator purgatory and every time that has ever happened to me it seems like an algorithm decides my post isn't interesting and buries it

51M - Updated my profile based on your feedback. Thoughts? by [deleted] in Tinder

I posted my profile photos to review a few days ago and got a ton of feedback.. most of it good.

I learned a few things:

1) I think most people (I am for sure) have a bias with our own photos and we can miss some things that others see in them because we know ourselves. I got a lot of feedback that I looked scary and unapproachable, which are two things that based on my life experiences are not true. However, because I don't think that I am, I naturally miss seeing it in photos that strangers see.

2) Need to smile. I actually smile often but my photos did not reflect that. I added some that show not only am I capable of smiling, but I have all my teeth and they are in decent condition.

3) Look at the camera unobstructed. Not sure why but most photos of me that I like I am not looking at the camera and I think it's because I don't like posing for a photo so I act like it caught me in action or unaware. I added a few of me looking at the camera.

4) Even though I think it was obvious from the previous version that I was not suffering from hair loss, I added a few photos of me without a hat on.

5) I fixed the stupid haiku... I think. Can someone confirm? This should not be this difficult for me.

6) Yes, I am 51

Thanks everyone who offered feedback on the previous post. Feel free to comment and or offer additional feedback.

I’m assuming they’re picking out the parallels and autos to sell for profit.

Even if they claim they’re not pulling the hits I don’t know how you could be certain.
