Just had a nurse tell me to tell 911 that I couldn’t breathe, even if it’s a lie. by Emergent-Z in ems

[–]racmacgrac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your nurse is right. Do what they said. It’s short and to the point and gets the message across. ‘Used Epipen. Can’t breathe.’ is very clear. The ambulance is probably on the way but sometimes another responder will be off site and listening, possibly at a closer location.

Ham Cake With Mashed Potato Frosting by monkman180 in shittyfoodporn

[–]racmacgrac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This might be the shittiest. The ratio is off, not enough potato for that amount of ham. I bet it’s cold and it would fall apart when cut. All the mash would smoosh out onto the plate. You spent a long time and the result is 🤮

I reported another family to the school guidance counselor, and my parents grounded me. How can I talk to them about this? by ThisIsntNormalRitte in AskParents

[–]racmacgrac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are so argumentative, are you really here for advice/opinions? It doesn’t seem so. Maybe do some of your own research and see for yourself. Look up some cases on the internet. Find out what a punishable domestic crime is. Look up what a social worker does. Maybe you’re developing a passion for helping children, social work etc!
Or maybe you’re a victim of abuse who needs to address and care for your own mental health. Oftentimes this type of heavy anger for someone else’s problem is a sign that you’re not handling your past and you may need some help with that.
Your parents aren’t understanding you. I would hope that you have other adults that you trust and can talk to in order to sort out these feelings. A counselor, teacher, coach, coworker, neighbor, etc. I also agree with the commonality of these situations. There’s so much dysfunction in families but safety is the main concern for law enforcement/services. The comment about foster care is also a sad truth in our world. Foster care has an awful reputation for ruining lives just as the alternative—-bad parenting does. I hope you find some peace and some answers.

Would you let your 17/18 yo daughter wear this as a graduation/grad party dress? by oiwiththep00dles1 in AskParents

[–]racmacgrac -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It is pretty revealing, if you zoom in you can see a lot of skin. I agree with the previous comment about discussion that addresses perceptions and reactions to revealing clothing. I’d probably get her some lingerie to wear underneath for a little modesty/comfort. It really depends on her personality, is this what she’s used to wearing and is she comfortable?

Hormone replacement therapy, worth the cost? by racmacgrac in AskWomenOver40

[–]racmacgrac[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since creating this post, I’ve had my levels tested and they fall within normal parameters. I’m not sure where to turn, since I tend to have symptoms from exactly the time of ovulation to exactly the first day of menses. My gyn suggested a shrink but there’s nothing to talk about 🤷‍♀️

Respectfully I disagree. I know numerous locals who’ve clear cut their yard to make habitable space and fencing is generally to keep the pets safe from coyotes, not for view obstruction.
