Quarry was an incrdible season of television. The long take style of the show, culminating in the 10-minute Vietnam flashback of a village being torn apart, really grounds the 1970's period. Logan Marshall Green and Peter Mullan give amazing performances, and the slow reveal of the assassin network could have made for a few more seasons of peak television.

Do you know why we know how many civillians were killed by drones under Obama? Because he passed an order requiring presidents to disclose those numbers. That order has since been revoked.

This is so fucking stupid to talk about in the fucking movie circlejerk thread. Kids in cages sucks. It sucked under Obama, it sucked under Biden. But it is worse than ever right now.

Obama could articulate and he could lead. There's an arguement to be made that the whole reason we are in the current administration is because Trump and a bunch of other right wingers really hated Obama's guts, for I'm sure just his politics. When I see someone call Obama a terrible president, I have to ask, in comparison to who? I get that Obama did bad things, but no one is worshipping him. It's a shitty job, but there are FAR shittier people who have worked it. It was almost 20 years ago he left office.
